Good Purchase for EDC Fixed Blade
Wanted an EDC fixed blade to carry on my farm and around town. I did a bit of research and ordered a few different brands. For me this one was an obvious keeper. The price initially seems a bit pricey for 1095 steel. After considering the overall quality, design, and lifetime no nonsense warranty it was my best choice. The size was just right. It is the smallest size fits my needs that offers full functionality. It is not conspicuous; I try to maintain a low profile. Its ergonomical design fits well in my larger hands very comfortably. As a left-hander the ambidextrous option is a biggie. Being used to old-school leather the molded polymer sheath took a little getting used to.I am a big fan of carbon steel chef knives and don’t mind the need for a little care. This was the best of many choices. Time will tell about overall durability, but I’m optimistic that it will serve me well.

OUTSTANDING!
What a great little knife. I had my eye on the ESEE 4 for some time. I am sick of all black tactical everything. I saw the 4 in a knife magazine with the Desert Tan blade and it did catch my attention. I did a ton of research on ESEE and had no doubt about quality, and the warrantee is excellent. However I hated to invest $100 + on a color scheme that looked pretty on paper but perhaps not so nice in the sunlight. I went for the Izula II as I had wanted a smaller knife in addition to a "standard" like the 4, plus if I hated the color I could stuff it in a bag and not have to look at it. Foolish huh? I am just sorta particular about my stuff. I just received the Izula today and not only is it a solid, VERY sharp little knife, the color scheme is killer. I bought the kit as I wanted the clip plate, not so much for the paracord and other gear that comes with it. If you want the clip plate get the kit and save a few bucks. I paid $78.50 and am very pleased with the seller, Lifetools. Arrived sooner than expected and in brand new condition. I have no doubt this knife will get passed down, as will the ESEE 4 that I intend to buy next. American made with lifetime warranty. Yea you have to oil it to prevent rust, but what did we do before stainless anyways?????? Would recommended the ESEE line to anyone.

Perfect for what I wanted
This is an excellent smallish knife for EDC. I wasn't sure if I would like the Izula for EDC, since it is a fixed blade, but I works very well. I personally carry it at the small of my back, scout style. It is very light, light enough to wear as a neck knife (which I do when it needs to be concealed). It is a bit long for a neck knife, and if you plan on carrying like that, I might recommend the original Izula for the shorter handle. For everyday carry it is perfect, long enough to be comfortable in the hand but short enough to not be uncomfortable in the sheath. The sheath can be modded to be horizontal carry (though only two or three screws can be used), and the clip is tight on the belt. The survival kit it comes with is slightly cheesy, but welcome addition that I would recommend getting. And of course, the most important part, it is razor sharp. Shaved my arm hair right off.

Perfect edc knife
This is by far the BEST small fixed blade I own. If you know the esee name, then you know the high quality, precision, and durability they bring to the table. The izula 2 is an all around amazing knife and can handle any task with ease, from opening mail, cutting down boxes, to cutting wood and carving. The desert tan finish looks great and the coating is very durable. Razor sharp out of the box and the carbon blade will hold and edge for a great period of time. No issue what-so-ever with rust, just apply a small amount of oil/lube on the blade periodically. The kit it comes with is very nice for the few extra $ it costs, If only for the clip and cord. I wear it as a neck knife allmost all day every day, and I hardly notice the weight. I keep the clip installed for easy pocket carry as well. If your looking for a high quality small fixed blade for edc, the esee izula 2 is for you!

Great lightweight carry knife
Great value for the money, made by a reputable brand. This is my new favorite EDC knife. The kydex sheath is great, with no worries this will fall out. I have connected the sheath to a blackhawk locking belt system in the horizontal position. The knife either sits in the small of my back or in the front near my belt buckle. Zero retention issues even while out all day on a harley in the elements. Very sharp and the micarta handle is a nice touch.

Great Knife, Great Company!
Love this Knife from the day it arrived in the mail. It's small enough yet still sits comfortable in the hand. Clearly very sturdy design (full tang) and a nice non-slip grip. Used it in the field a fair amount and edge retention is pretty good, but I like mine razor sharp so I'll touch it up every couple weeks though for the average user this is likely unnecessary. Watch out, once you hop on the Esee train, you'll be buying another quite soon (for me it was the Esee 4) Also, weird side note, but the knife had a rather poignant aroma to it out of the box. Not unpleasant per say, but certainly very noticeable, can only assume this is the Micarta handle material...give it a few days out in the open and it'll go away. Now I just associate it with "new knife smell". Enjoy!

Your new EDC
My EDC! Love this knife and have been carrying it for a year. Converted over from a folding to a fixed blade and I'm never going back. Lanyard looped around my belt loop and knife in my pocket is the way I carry it. Quick and easy to deploy. Great quality and I ended up buying 3 more ESSE knives after owning this one. Thanks ESSE!
