Another “par for the course” DK release: Excellent photography, meticulous research, fun and concise reading with a team of people to put it all together. Impressive work.I enjoy reading biographies to learn about the mindset of people I admire. Starting on page 288, the Ingenious Inventors section has provided me with a great book list to pursue this endeavor. I like that. Excellent book for learning about creative people and their work.

This was a gift for an 8 year old, this is very clearly written and I would recommend the age group for this book to be anywhere between 8-12 years. Well written and lots of useful knowledge. This is a book for any person that enjoys reading insightful “about stuff” books !

The pictures are beautiful. The write up is wonderful short and to the point and tells you everything you need to know.

One of the best, most-engaging books on inventors & inventions. We had our children select from a list of different titles on this subject...They chose this and are very glad that they did.As you'd expect from a DK book, this book has lots of great pictures and facts about major (and minor/less well-known) inventions.A+ to DK!

Excellent quality hardcover book. My son wants to read this book EVERY night and when it’s time to stop he is sad bc he’s so enthralled with it. Awesome photos and fun facts to keep anyone interested. Would but again in a heartbeat.

Bought this to read with kid. Absolutely love it! Great stories and illustrations.

The Smithsonian books have been a great gift for my granddaughter. The information and illustrations kept her interest and opened a door for additional information reading.
