Best bang for buck bt speaker with some really neat extra features
I wanted a bluetooth speaker to use in my workshop so I can listen to some music while I work, and since it can get kind of noisy when I'm using some equipment/tools I needed something that can get loud enough.Well let me just say that this guy definitely gets loud! The sound profile is definitely tilted towards bass heavy but doesn't distort or overwhelm the mids/highs either. Don't expect studio reference quality audio, it's tuned for fun punchy bass good for rock/metal/r&b/action movies/etc. If I had a potential complaint involving the audio it would be that even on the lowest volume it's quite loud, with volume adjustment steps being rather coarse. I want my music loud anyway so not a problem, but I can see cases where this might be a bad thing if you just want to listen to relaxing stuff in a quiet small room without disturbing your neighbors. When it arrived it was actually a bit larger than I thought based off the pictures on the product page but for me that doesn't matter too much as it's just gonna sit on a table and doesn't need to be transported or anything like that.As for build quality this thing is built like a tank. The construction is made of plastic and metal both of which are nice and thick/heavy. The passive radiators on the sides are mounted to strong rubber so I'm not really worried of them getting damaged in normal use. The speakers themselves are mounted behind a metal grill so that's also good. The buttons on top have distinctive shapes you can easily use without looking at them, with a satisfying clickiness. Controls are logical if you've ever used a similar speaker. The bottom has nice rubber feet to prevent any movement when it's belting out strong bass. The back ports are covered with a rubber flap that seals them from any liquid (the unit is apparently ip waterproof rated). Not sure if I'd ever use this in a wet environment but it's never a bad thing to know it'd stand a good chance of surviving and dunk in water.USB C is used for charging which was pretty quick, fully charging in about two hours. Battery life is good enough for me to use for a few hours a day for a week without hitting the low battery warning. Now that's with the rgb led's off, but apparently even with then enabled you can still expect on the order of 10 hours or so. There are a few light effect modes that'll change color and flash along with the music, which I guess is a neat party trick but not something I will often use. The downside I've noticed is if you set a specific color mode the speaker won't remember it if you power off and on again. Not a big deal for me but may be annoying if you use the lighting feature a lot which will require a few extra button presses to get to the setting you want. One feature I really like is the right speaker led will momentarily light up when adjusting volume to show you the level. Such a simple feature but useful.Bluetooth connection is solid with the few tablets and phones I've tested with. I really like that it has an auxiliary audio input jack to plug in older non-bluetooth devices. I've plugged in some high-end minidisc portables and they sound absolutely fantastic. Also has a micro-sd card slot that can play mp3s directly off a memory card, will probably never use that feature but cool that I can if I ever wanted to.So do I think it's worth the asking price? Well comparing with similarly sized and performing portable bluetooth speakers like jbl makes this guy is significantly cheaper, like half the price or less. Sure maybe other big brand name speakers sound richer or have more advanced features like apps to adjust more settings but I really just need a tough but loud speaker with good battery life that'll take some abuse but keep on ticking. So far this one ticks those boxes for me without breaking my wallet.

Beautiful looking (visually) in person, but just doesn't produce the power I'd like.
Well what can I say, it's a well made high quality Bluetooth speaker that did NOT meet my expectations, well....as far as the volume is concerned! I received this at my address, and immediately opened the box in speedy fashion, and was in awe at the quality, but of course what really matters to ME is the amount of watts that this speaker is supposed to product out of the box, right?I was let down once I wanted to MAKE SURE that I was getting the max amount of volume out of the speaker by giving it a full 100% charge on it's first use. I was let down pretty hard once I turned it on, and realized that my DeWalt Bluetooth Speaker (pretty much the same size in dimensions) simply outperformed Rythflo Wearable Bluetooth V5.3 Speaker, when it came to the volume level and of course the ability to utilize Siri without having to unlock your iPhone.I'd say as far as the same level of volume at a medium to low audio for instance, they both produce a crystal clear audio (Rythflo has a slight bit more of treble). The durability I couldn't test since I didn't plan on keeping it and after comparing the volume level between the DeWalt and the Rythflo, I quickly returned it into it's box with all contents, put it back in the shipping box and sealed it all over again in disappointment. So the big question is, would I of kept it IF I didn't own the DeWalt wearable bluetooth speaker? I'd say a hard no, probably not! I didn't actually get into the internal specs of the advertised watts claimed on the box, but I'll just say that I doubt it produces the amount of power it claims just by my own observation after a full charge and a comparison between the two.In the end the quality of this device (visually speaking) seems to be even better than the DeWalt, but once you feel it you'll soon realize that the DeWalt feels more like a device where you could drop it over and over again, and it'll still work where the Rythflo just seems like it would break (and it's too pretty to break).
