I have given this flute five stars because it seems to be a fine flute for the $$, is sturdy and is well made. It's handsome and is most definitely a musical instrument and not one of these souvenir flutes you can pick up in the islands etc. My beef isn't with the flute (so it gets five stars) however, as I say that, I was so shocked at how difficult this instrument is to get a clear solid note, at least for me -- I still haven't mastered it. Takes a lot of breath. I'll need lessons, or someone in the know to show me. It seems that it plays similar to a regular flute you would see in an orchestra/ band, as to the mouth placement and the particular way to blow to make sound. YouTube has instructional videos available on the pan flute, which is a big help. I play a Native American flute that I thoroughly enjoy -- so easy to get lovely, pure sounding notes on. I assumed the pan flute is the same way. I now have gained great admiration and appreciation for these fabulous musicians who can really makes this instrument sing so beautifully, and make it look so easy!!! I will continue to practice and I will learn.

The pan pipe is a worm sound and relaxing and good to learn how to play. take your time and enjoy good luck.

They are really cool but we can’t get them to make much sound. It could be user error but I was hoping they would be a bit more user friendly for kids to use.

Arrived in very good shape, sound was good. Little bit difficult to play a clear tones for the 2 largest pipes. I am really satified with this pan flute.

sounds fine for starting, but tubes may be slightly cracked which completely ruins their sound. Further, this is way too expensive for an instrument that is not even well tuned. Some of the tubes are too short, which makes it impossible to tune them!
