The perfect access control system without spending $2k on the same features
Excellent quality, software is great and easy to use, tech support is US based and very responsive and helpful. Has all the bells and whistles that most anyone short of the NSA would need and the price certainly beats the other brands out there that seem to be have very little difference. My only gripe is the lack of a battery connection for a backup battery, but my system in on a 3kW UPS that handles my modem, phone system, CCTV system, network equipment, etc for at least 6 hours and Ive never had a power outage last longer than 20 min where I live. Only other negatives are limited wiring space in the enclosure and metric(?) strange non standard knockouts in less than ideal locations. Again, not really a problem, I simply pulled my own holes, and Ive worked on units that were 15x the price with even less room, so a non issue really. Kudos to their first class tech support with a little issue I was having getting it to connect to my network.

Worst install experience every time
I will never install this crap again. Every time I install vizionis systems there's constant problems with readers and exit buttons changing versions.. changing their wire colors.. crap tech support.. control boxes that are not backward or forward compatible.. I hate this company's products and I will never install this crap again.. going to ubiquiti.

OK system. Website makes it look more polished than it actually is.
First off - This is fine for the typical access control customer who just wants to add and remove cards. I had a little higher expectations and was disappointed. If you just need really basic access control this will work just fine. Now I already have another entry level controller from Amazon. I have been using it for about a year to track tenants that rent a space from me on an hourly basis. My business is expanding and I've found the software for my current controller to just be adequate. To calculate hours I have to log into the controller and export swipes to an employee that than manually goes through and calculates hours. It's somewhat tedious and I was looking for a system I could let a non-technical employee use to simply query this info without my assistance. The Visionis website and products look far more polished than the controller I was replacing and I thought this software would be better. To make a long story short it just isn't. This uses the "V2" software which looks literally nothing like the screenshots on their website. For a technical user the interface is fine, maybe looks a little better, but ultimately I think it's actually more difficult than the ugly software I deal with now. Some things that are good- I like the relay control options. You can definitely do some more advanced things with these switches.- Similar difficultly as other system for basic access controls. You will need to be technical to setup which is expected, but you will also likely have to train employees how to do basic tasks as it's not user friendly. It's not great it's not terrible.- The packaging of the board itself is excellent and looks good. Their kit with the box looks professional. Some things that bother me- Plenty of bad translations to leave you guessing what does what. "Employee Care", what do you think it does? I don't know and it's not in the documentation.- The way they use "prohibit" is double negative. It's just not how it would be phrased in English and counterintuitive. This is in several places.- Upload/Download are backwards from I would expect as a software engineer. I suppose it makes sense from the controller, but I would expect to download logs to my machine from the controller instead you "upload" them. This is also in several places- Things that say realtime aren't realtime at all. You upload/download and then whatever is on the screen seems to disappear from the controller after you retrieve it so hopefully you remember to save it. I guess maybe it saves if you enable it in the database option? Why wouldn't that be on by default? It was very difficult to understand the actual realtime screen which is monitoring. There is an a tiny button with no mouse over context no label you have to click to start streaming- Initially after setup I was getting "Error Code -1" trying to upload/download. No error description no hint just an error. I think it was ultimately due to me having a space in the controller name but honestly I'm not even sure.- The attendance, shifts, all that part of the software is beyond confusing. Calculating attendance just says it's doing something and produces no results. Even shows that in the help. What got calculated? Where? There's more, that's just off the top of my head. Overall I'm really disappointed with the software available to small businesses in this space. Would be nice to see a more modern web based UI and maybe even cloud access for actual remote control. Also to be fair to the vendor I did not contact support. I got everything working myself after playing around a bit. The problems I encountered were not something a phone call or email would fix, the software simply isn't an improvement over what I have so it's not worth me switching.

Nice product but bad documents
Wiring diagram is dysfunctional. Couldn't get exit buttons to work unless I waited the com wire to the buzzer feed. Support is less than desirable. Once set up properly, it works great.
