Good product, strong magnets that secure/hold to the metal vice. The plastic matetial holds well and does not harm the item being secured. Well wirth buying.

I should have gotten these years ago.
I spend a fair amount of time at my workbench on various projects. I bought these soft jaws for a vise I have been using since 1975. Previously, I have improvised by taping thin pieces of wood to the jaws to protect delicate materials I was holding in the vise so many times I cannot begin to estimate. These “Soft Jaws” work perfectly, the magnets are strong, and they can be used on their flat sides or the opposite sides with grooves for holding rounded items. They are well worth the price. I bought sets for both my sons afer receiving these.

Excellent Soft Jaws
These jaws fit a HF Doyle 4.5" vise perfectly. The magnets seem plenty strong enough, but the soft jaws will slide off very easily to use the metal jaws.I work with chromed tubing frequently and these let me securely hold it without marring the chrome finish. The set of jaws with the "half-round" cutouts are ideal for this.If I had to post a con, the soft-jaw holders and the jaws themselves are fairly thick, so it does eat up around an inch of your vises opening capacity. So far this has not been an issue.Highly recommended for the price!
