Really nice controller
Not had it a great deal of time, about a week, so can't speak for the longevity of it, I'll update my review if I have any issues, but so far, very happy with it. Feels good and chunky in the hands, might be a little too chunky for some folks but perfect for my big hands, nice smooth premium feeling plastic and the grips feel great. Got some paddles with it, not sure about those. I use them in calm parts of a game but tend to revert back to the buttons during a fight. Also they seem to hurt my tendons up my arms and fingers, but not sure if that's just me (I'm getting on a bit these days!). I can't see me using the paddles long term to be honest, but I'll persevere; I like the idea of them.Battery life is good, thumbsticks feel great, might buy some bigger ones at some point, see if they make a difference. All in all, very pleased. Expensive, but not insanely so (have you seen the price of the PS equivalent? 😳) Glad I splurged.

Brilliant customisation and variability for a controller.
👍To start off these controllers look incredible the white set against the black make this controller look really good.I have both the all black and the white/black and to me the white/black really do look much more impressive. They fit really well in my hands, the textured palm holds give a comfortable secure hold when lightly held and the weight is heavier than original controllers but not uncomfortable. The interchangeable thumb sticks, Dpad and extra customisable switches at the rear give more control over your own personal preferences meaning you can adjust this controller in a whole range of ways without ever having to purchase a brand new controller. The battery life is also really good however when battery is low in the middle of a game, the extra long charging cable will not distract you from what ever your ideal gaming position/distance is from your screen.Really impressive all round controller with great variability/interchangeability and a premium feel I have not been disappointed.

Really good controller but you’ll need to buy paddles if you want to use them
Amazing, I don’t use the paddles much but it’s nice to have the capability, premium quality and great battery life my only gripe is that the controller doesn’t come with paddles so had to buy third party ones which where 20 quid.

Great Performance, But Durability Concerns Over Time
I recently purchased the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core Edition in Red, and while the performance is top-notch, I'm starting to notice a recurring issue with durability. This is actually the second Elite Series 2 controller I've bought in the past year, and both have developed issues where they seem to split at the seams over time.Don't get me wrong, the controller feels fantastic in hand, and the customization options are excellent for fine-tuning your gaming experience. The Red edition also looks stunning and really stands out. However, considering the premium price tag, I expected better longevity. If you're looking for precision and comfort, this controller delivers. But if you're like me and use it regularly, be prepared for potential durability concerns down the line. I'm hoping Microsoft addresses this in future versions because everything else about this controller is great.

I HAVE NO WORDS, SHOCKED.
The media could not be loaded. Just Got this back from Repair after 14days because it had stick drift after about 1 month of use. Now it's come back worse than it was originally with stick drift. It turns off by itself if a slight amount of pressure is applied to it. Also seems to do it sometimes when I plug my headphones in. I'm requesting a refund, just no care given whatsoever.

This thing screams 'Quality'
I needed to get one of these plastic toy things for my PC because I was playtesting a game that demanded a controller. I hate controllers. They're an awful way to play games. The thumbsticks are horribly imprecise, and your shoulders are all hunched up, so you get back ache. Give me a mouse and a keyboard ANY day. However, I have had a few controllers over the years, mainly because I feel I have to have one to be "a gamer"... But I don't tend to use them. I've had a logitech wingman, a SNES-shaped one, a Logitech F-170 which was utter garbage (a shame), a Retrobit Legacy 16 and an XBox controller. Plus, of course, the controllers with the SNES, Atari 2600 and PS1 and PS2. So, although I hate the blasted things, at least I've had some experience with them. The Xbox controller was the most recent addition. I got it for my son to play GRIP Racing on his laptop. He kinda likes it, but he's got used to WASD+Mouse too, so finds the controller a bit restrictive. So I ended up playing with his XBox controller. I quite liked it. It had a weight to it, and the buttons had a positivity to them. So, when I had to get one for my laptop for this plaaytesting I thought I'd try to go "top of the line" and get an Elite 2.Well, I can confirm, it feels pretty darn good. although it's the same hand-crampy shape and size of a usual controller, it's really hefty. It feels solid, not plasticcy at all. The grips are grippy, and the magnetic snap-on thumbsticks and d-pad are lush to look at. Being able to adjust the force of the buttons is a lovely feature. I've set them to "middle" which feels good for me.The Core edition doesn't come with the back-paddles, but they can be bought separately for £9 (get the metallic ones!).I have to admit I'm very impressed with it. Aiming is still an absolute shambles, but that's a problem with trying to use a thumbstick. The buttons and controls otherwise feel really solid. It screams quality. I can see why it's more expensive than the standard controller. Given the magnets and snap-on configurability of it, I can see why it's as expensive as it is. It's a nice piece of well-engineered kit. It'll never replace a Kbd+Mouse for me, but if I have to play a game with a controller, I'm playing it with this! Nothing else comes close!
