Super idea.
What a super idea this is. It would make a great gift for a keen gardener or a beginner. The quality is very good, with no GMO or F1 hybrids, and there is a good variety to start you off growing your own, healthy food. With 8 different vegetables, there is sure to be something for everyone in the family.

Attractive organic seed gift, a little pricey and some issues with instructions
These come in attractive, yet environmentally-friendly packaging (all paper and card). The selection of seeds is designed to provide late season crops, although receiving these to review in late August, I discovered that many of the included varieties are intended for Spring to early Summer planting, so it’s too late for these until next year. The range is a nice mix of familiar and new-to-me plants: May Savoy Cabbage, Welsh Onions, Radicchio, Winter Purslane, Brussels Sprouts, Chicory, Lark’s tongue Kale, and Winter cress. A lot of the packaging is in German, though for most things there is English translation too. My German is no better than the really basic stuff of “Wie komme ich am besten zum krankenhaus, bitte?” and “Guten tag, wie heiße sie?”, so I was grateful for the translation. I couldn’t help noticing, however that the German name for the Brussels Sprout variety was ‘Evesham Special’, but the translation cites this as ‘Noisette’. Most odd – ‘Evesham Special’ are definitely a thing in English!Three varieties (May Savoy Cabbage, Winter Purslane, and Radicchio) were still in time for planting – and all suitable for direct sowing. The Radicchio, I’ve put in a vegtrug as this apparently doesn’t care for waterlogging – and our heavy clay soil starts to become problematic in the wet weather. The other two I’ve both started indoors under a plant grow light (counter to the instructions, but can usually provide a sufficient boost to make it worthwhile), and direct sown some of the seed as instructed. The Welsh onions, it was unclear from the directions when these could be planted – as the range indicates they can be sown direct starting from March… but there was no indication of an end to the sowing period. Google came to the rescue, with the information that these perennials can be direct sown outdoors through to the end of September – though presumably since the end of harvesting period for these is the end of October any such late plantings are for a crop into the next year.Fairly expensive, at over £3 per pack of seeds.

Great packaging, high quality product.
This is one of the most beautiful little things I've gotten from vine.I love gardening and this really made me smile. It would make the perfect gift for anyone interested in gardening. It's just well designed from the packaging through to the instructions.I can't fault it just because it is trying to get people 'excited' about what is a very lost art.I think the price is good considering the amount of seeds you get and the quality of the overall end product.I'm really happy and would suggest this to anyone wanting to either get quality seeds - or simply wants a gift for a gardener.

reasonable selection of wintr veg seeds - some for 2020 but mainly 2021 sowing
I had seen the magic garden seeds packs and was really intrigued but the quirky packs e.g. Indian healing or medieval medicine plants so we were really keen to try these winter vegetable seeds. These looks really cool! Here are our thoughts - but we cant comment on germination rates as we are going to start sowing very soon noting that some will have to wait until 2021 for proper sowing.+ The pack/presentation box is really nice and would make a nice gift.+ You get 8 packets of vegetable seeds suitable for either winter planting or winter harvesting. these are Chicory 'Di Bruxelles', radicchio 'Variegata di Castelfranco', curly lark's tongue kale 'Lerchenzungen', Winter cress, Welsh onion, Savoy cabbage 'Advent', Winter purslane and Brussels sprouts 'Noisette'+ One pack of seed is organic and has the organic certification printed on the pack.+ All the seeds are Non-GMO and as stated as non-hybrid not F1 varieties+ In addition to the seeds you get useable postcard and one card with company details but its all in German. You also get a basic growing from seed instruction manual. the instructions are general gardening not necessarily related to these seeds. The same instructions in German are also included. Our overall thoughts are that its great that these are non-GMO and not F1 but we're not sure if there is anything specific about the winter veg varieties. Compared to their other seed packs there doesn't appear to be any other underlying theme other than just winter veg. We think that some of the other seed boxes from this same vendor have much greater appeal..These are quite expensive but the pack would make a nice gift for a starter gardener.
