That disability, if you will, of mine carried into my adulthood. That all ended when I bought this gem! It cuts effortlessly and perfectly! Five stars! If you need a can opener, this is the ONE!

I have purchased 4 prior can openers here and all I’ve thrown away. In my opinion a great can opener can open a can without having it resting on a surface. I have been able to open all cans, supported from the can opener, without the opener letting go of the can. That is the true test of a great can opener and this opener passes it!!! This is such high quality vs the competitors. I don't know what they do to make this so different but the one's that looks exactly like this and cost a little less do not last very long. They don't stay as sharp and the handle to turn the can opener gets harder and harder. These do not have that problem! I love supporting a made in USA business and this is a product I can stand by! I can actually open the cans without hurting my hands and the size is perfect to keep in a drawer.

Best damn can opener! I was truly surprised on how easy this can was to use. It is incredibly sharp, easy to clean with its removable grips, large crank for effortless use made from durable materials not requiring extra bends toward strength. I will probably buy more canned foods just to use it more often. I've got a touch of the arthritis and experienced no discomfort. I'm going tonbuy another to put with survival gear just so I can buy more from this veteran owned American made company.

After years of buying low quality can openers made in China, some of which didn't even last 6 months, i purchased this one almost two years ago. The opener shows zero sign of rust either on the blade or the gearing. Importantly, the rotating grip is solidly attached to the shaft. Based on its current condition, i would expect this one to last an order of magnitude longer than what i've had it.

When I first opened the package, I was pleased with the structural fortitude of this brand. I tried it on a can that my wife was unable to open. I was able to get it done rather quickly. However, if someone, like my wife, who doesn't have proper strength, or grip, due to arthritis, it will not be a good purchase, under these parameters. If you do have adequate grip and strength, these would be a great buy, as it is well constructed. I compared this set to a set from China. This can opener definitely had stronger components, a better grip and the gears didn't rattle. All-in-all, a very good purchase for the price. We're delivered within one day.

I wanted to revisit this page and give an update six years after purchasing and using this can opener. It's used daily and it still works perfectly. The handles are still intact the stainless steel isn't rusted and it opens cans of all sizes easy as pie. Best value I've had in years. If by some chance it ever does break or gets dull I would absolutely buy another just like it. But at this rate I may never have to purchase another ever. So, Hencence this positive support feedback.

We’ve had a cheap plastic opener for years and when the blades finally dulled out, we decided to invest in a better model.
