I have had this scanner for about 18 months. Overall, it is fine. The zipper on the carry bag broke in the first week or so, but that's not a big deal, just annoying. The main problem is that I have a 2018 Porsche Macan that I changed the transmission fluid on, which requires the transmission to be recalibrated afterward. This doesn't require a trip to the dealer, just a good bi-directional scanner. But, the NT809BT doesn't do this task - it only completes part 1 of the 3-part calibration. I could excuse that, but several other people on the online forums state that their scanner does this: Otofix, Autel, Launch, and hobby version of PIWIS to name a few. So, now I had to buy an Otofix D1 Lite to get this function. At least at $319 on eBay, the Otofix is nearly $100 cheaper than what I paid for this Foxwell eighteen months ago. So, that's disappointing. And, I wonder what else the scanner doesn't do that other similarly or less priced scanners can do.

I'm giving this product -1. Don't get me wrong, the device was well built and had the potential to be a good deal but none of the functions worked. 30+ functions and I couldn't even reset my oil light. (2 stars) I have a (2008 nissan rogue). So for $400 your purchasing a dollar store scanner that doesn't even have the ability to reset your oil light. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASING! All the functions only work on 3 cars! For 400$ you can kiss my ... o not to mention I returned the item, tracked shipping (delivered) and still haven't got my money back... (-3 stars) it's been about a week! (Of conformed delivery) BUYERS BEWARE! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU HAVE ONE OF THE 3 CARS THAT CAN USE ALL 30 FUNCTIONS. Then it will be worth the money!

After initial use in the first part of April on my Chevy Silverado, I turned the scanner off at 95% battery strength. Here I am in the middle of August ready to use it again, and I turn it on and I only have 20% battery. Guess I will need to take it out and charge it every 2 or 3 months so it's always ready for a lengthy use.I haven't had much need for using it on my two cars yet, so I can't tell you as much about it's capabilities as I would like.8/23/23 UPDATE (3 stars to 4-1/2 stars for outstanding customer service)After submitting my review, customer service reached out immediately to offer me a full refund on my purchase. This shows that they want to provide the best possible product for consumers. FIRST. I am just a regular dude that TCB and in a flash`. Say control and self reliance. That is what you get. i a not a pro and i know. however, this device allows me to manage systems that i have been locked out of. any product close to the features of this price point will cost you double. if you have had experience using code readers, your learning curve is minimal. with every window and function i toggled through, i found my excitement to be unbridled and let FNA fly to the top of my lungs. i hope that you get that and all the product offers as i did.

Bought this scan tool for a gift for my husband for work. And honestly I am a bit jealous. He had gone through so many from cracking screens to just the specs not being up to his par level. He still uses now and I actually can understand how to use it. If his current one ever breaks down I will definitely order a new one.

I love it very well. Easy to use. On show of demoes they show with hard plastic case. Mind was semi hard. Can you get a hard case. Hard case well protect mind better. Let know if you can get a hard plastic case.
