MV-180 seems to work well, dryer does sit ~ 1” further out – time will tell how well it works
Access to our dryer vent requires moving a front-loading washer (HEAVY) that sits in a drain-pan (awkward to do without damaging the pan). Due to the dryer shape, can’t even see the vent looking down the back. After install, the dryer does sit just a bit further from the wall, which was not really mentioned (and actually think they said less). Had to remove some molding to get bracket to sit flat to the wall (noting had to cut a bit extra clear the snap-lock). Installing the screws, I intentionally “leaned” them such that their heads were closer to the centerline, as tail-piece doesn’t have much clearance to the screw heads once it’s installed. Our lateral offset (dryer vent to wall vent) was only 1 or 2 inches and this seemed to have worked well for that. The flexible duct does extend when pulling out the dryer, and hoping that makes getting it re-engaged easier (though haven’t yet tried it with the washer in-place). The magnetic alignment is also assisted by circumferential grooves, so the radial alignment seems to work well. Bought a kit to clean the ducts and did that as well, and doing that more regularly is a big reason we changed to this.

The best dryer vent tubing system
I happened upon this jewel when I needed to replace my dryer vent tubing after purchasing a new dryer. My goodness how this thing upgrades your regular options! Installation was simple even for this elderly grandma. Directions were easy to follow and I had it installed just in time for them to deliver my new dryer. The section that goes in the wall to the outside vent was a two piece part that gives it a nice custom look. It snaps onto the base with strong clips so it shouldn't come disengaged without considerable effort. The second piece has a flexible tubing but is compressed until you pull it out. It is attached with a band, just like any vent tubing, Next you just push the dryer toward the wall and the the two magnetic ends amazingly find each other and form a tight connection. My model was for a connection that is straight from the dryer to the outside wall but they have another model for connections that are offset. You can't go wrong choosing this product. It's a bit more expensive than the cheap regular, everyday stuff but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend this!

Awesome but I have a few suggestions
I just installed the new dryer vent. And I have to say it was so easy. It took me maybe 30 minutes. Previous times I would probably spend half the day trying to get it all aligned multiple attempts. This made it so much easier. My dryer has no access to the back. The washer is right next to the sink, which is right next to the wall, and on the other side of the dryer is the water heater. So I can’t access the back, this has always been a struggle. But I do have a few suggestions for the manufacturer:1. First of all if you could make the base that attaches to the wall larger so that the screw holes are further from the dryer vent hole. It would be easier. At least at the top. The wall was old and required a little bit of extra effort to get the base to attach well.2. I did have to use a crowbar to tap the side on the dryer to get it to magnetize to the wall side. But a slight tap was enough. It might be something you could add to your video to help people with their installation.3. I am familiar with strong magnets. So I was very careful when holding the magnetized pieces. But you might want to add a warning to help others to be careful not to damage or hurt themselves, when handling the magnets.

Nice system, works well, difficult to install.
I installed the MV-180 on March 29, 2025. It is successfully operating. I eliminated the long flex hose behind my Dryer which shortened the drying time. I had several problems installing the MV-180. My system has a 4" 90 elbow (male end) coming our of the wall, protruding about 2.5 inches. If you cut this off at the wall the MV-180 tail piece would contact the inside of the elbow and not fit flush with the wall. The male end does not allow the tail piece to insert fully. Also the mounting bracket holes are relatively close to the 4+ inch drywall hole, which compromises the self tapping screws in the drywall. Lastly, when sliding the dryer to connect the two MV-180 pieces, the dryer side flex duct will sag (gravity), which may prevent the magnets from alignment without help.

Mag Vent 180 Works great!
I installed the Mag Vent 180 in place of a flimsy duct connector on my through the floor dryer duct by removing the old duct connector, pop riveting the wall connector to my existing through the floor duct, shortening the pipe on the Mag Vent to prevent it from protruding too far into my duct, and twist locking the Mag Vent to the wall connector. I then attached the duct to my dryer with the clamp provided, and extended it about 1”. When the dryer was pushed into place the Mag Vent halves mated perfectly, and I now have an air tight dryer venting. The Mag Vent 180 works great, and is a nice addition to my laundry room.

Good solution for keeping a tight dryer vent connection
Overall this seems to be a good solution but I can’t speak to longevity as of today. The install was pretty smooth but my drywall had some weak spots. I managed to get 3 anchors secured without breaking loose. I had to notch the trim for the size of the plate but it worked fine. I added an elastic outdoor rated sealer to help tighten up the gap. Once connected I pushed this closer to the wall.

Simple idea that delivers on its promise
No complaints, easy install, worked just as advertised. If the vent coming out of your wall is roughly the same height of your dryer's rear vent, then this is the perfect solution. No more aluminum hoses bent and twisted behind my dryer. My dryer sits about 3 inches from the wall and if I ever need to pull it out the magnet releases easily.
