Works great
Apparently the air in my home is better that I thought ... stays on 1 almost all the time, but I have tried a vape near it and watched it climb to 500 ... awesone

The best one I have tried so far!
GermGuardian is my favorite brand of air purifier. This one is awesome! It has an air monitor on it, and it displays as you run it. I live in a state where wildfires are a part of summer life, and so is heat, so the central air conditioner brings the smoke in. This morning, I started out with a 64 air quality rating, inside! That's the highest so far since I've been using this. The smoke outside is bad today, so that is the culprit. 1 hour later, it's down to 33. Yesterday, it started out at 33 and was down to 13 within a few hours. I have this in a decent sized living room. I can tell a difference. I woke up with a headache today, and it has already subsided since I have been running this. I have a cat with asthma who has more attacks when the smoke is bad outside. She hasn't had any since I've been running this. She is also on medication, but the smoke still triggers an attack.Another cool thing that it does, is it will automatically adjust the fan control, if you use that setting, so that if the air gets bad or worst, it will either turn the fan down, or turn it up. You don't have to use this feature, you can set it to whichever setting you want and leave it, or, you can set it to adjust automatically. It is super quiet on the first setting, as I can barely even tell that it's on. It's lightweight, and it doesn't take up a ton of room. It fits perfectly in a corner, or near a wall.I love this particular unit so much, I will likely be buying another one. I truly mean it when I say this is my favorite one. I LOVE that it displays the air quality as it's running. I love that it's quiet, small, and that you can tell it's really working!

Works surprisingly well, quiet, really shows how much particles when looking at the filter
With fires or possible covid, this gave me a piece of mind with bad air. For the most part, I do enjoy having this device in my house. This is a pretty good air purifier to have. This is smaller than your giant air purifiers but it does a good job with giving you less bad air. Regardless of the air purifier size, it is relatively light which is what I like about it. For the most part, this air purifier does a really good job with filtering the air. I placed it next to one of my old ones and you can tell which one is doing the best job just by looking at the filter. It really does a good job with getting rid of the smell in the house if you happen to be cooking. I would be cooking and I turn this on before I go to bed and it gets rid of the smell over night. The fact it is easy to move makes it very nice for all around home usage. It does require a vacuuming ever months for up keep which I am okay with doing. The controls for the most part are very user friendly. It has several fan functions and a timer on it so you can turn it off whenever you need it to. You can have it adjust the fan accordingly with the auto mode or you can manually adjust it how you want. The LED in the front is a nice indicator and blends in well with the air purifier. The controls are touch sensitive but it has a nice child lock so your kid cannot accidentally make adjustments. The downside of this is the filter. It is also a bit annoying to change as well. It is not as simple as opening and closing the air purifier. The air purifier prices are not too bad about 30 dollars per filter. It does not run hot or anything. The sound on this is very hard to notice when on the lower setting. Even at the highest setting the fan noise just becomes white noise for me. Overall this air filter is a good product if you keep it maintained. That means that you need to change the filter and vacuum the fans every month. If you do not it is not being run at the optimum efficiency. The only issue I have is the filter is very annoying to change. It is not very simple to do and it should be considering the price of this device. The white plating is also prone to yellowing if you happen to leave this in the sun. Part of my filter is actually yellow because of the sun light hitting the corner.

Compact Unit. Looks Good and Works Well
This is a good air purifier for a smaller bedroom. I have this in my kid's bedroom, and it helps keep their room smelling "fresher", and my kids don't seem to have as many allergies or sneezes going on. I also feel it helps control the dust in the room also. The unit is attractive looking and looks like a nice and sleek. The controls are on top and flush. There are numbers displayed on front to indicate the air quality, and you want them to be as low as possible. I set it to auto and it usually runs at the lowest speed. It is whisper quality at the lowest speed to the point you can't even tell it is on. When you turn it on high, it just sounds like a large fan blowing air. It's rare for it to ever kick on high but if you smoke or light candles it will.It does a decent job, and I am satisfied with it.

Sensor rarely changes. VOCs from insulation and mattress not detected. Problem
Germ Guardian has a solid reputation and this unit looks, feels and sounds great right out of the box. A few minutes after powering it on, I expected to give a 5 star review. The only problem is that it doesn't quite seem to filter the air from our evening allergens, nor did it detect VOCs when our bedroom was saturated with scents from a new foam mattress. The same problem occurred when we added spray insulation to our bedroom. The sensor hardly changed, an the smells did not easily dissipate (we had to open the windows and reverse a fan to get the smells out). Meanwhile, two other air purifiers from our office and living room both sensed the VOCs. And one of our purifiers (an expensive name brand) connected to a smart phone app, actually reported the air threat as "serious". The fan is quite enough on the lowest speed, but when the speed ramps up, the noise is too loud for my taste (likely 65db plus).Despite the setback with VOCs and the sensor, I still wake up in the middle of the night with a stuffy nose. I had hoped an air purifier would help.... at least a little bit. For now, I will not replace my bedroom purifier with this one. I will just run them together and hope this one does something... anything?
