I purchased this to fix my joy cons due to drift... And almost 2 years later no drift have been found

I’ve had this drift problem for so long. I tried everything; recalibrating, putting cardboard behind the joystick, cleaning the stick, all the other tips and tricks… nothing. I’d given up, bought another pair… yet again it happened. I was so bummed. They’re expensive and don’t really wanna keep buying them. I bought generic controllers, a bitdo to use my ps and xbox controllers. Never in the years had I thought I could replace the joystick until recently. It was cheap and i thought, what’s to lose?Came and I got it. Seemed simple enough. Used my electronic toolkit to get it open. While a little awkward to get open and out we got there. Popped it in and got everything back together. Moment of truth. Put it on and boom. Flawless. No drift, no need to calibrate, nothing, just worked as should. Rinsed and repeated with the other controller I had, same, worked like a charm. Nothing was off didn’t feel stiff or anything. It’s great. Honestly kicking myself that for $12 and half an hour I could have two perfect sets of joycons again. Better late than never I suppose .

Two were broken but the other two worked. You don’t really know until you have it installed 🙃

The media could not be loaded. Jaoystii joycon drift replacement worked great for me, first try no issues at all. Been a few months since I replaced the top left joycon in my blue controller (viewing the included images and video), still works flawlessly.I only used one joycon of the four, and did not use any of the screws. For the reviewer that mention the joycon is stiffer I would agree, but I have newer controllers and they are also stiffer, it is due to being new and not used and broken in. Regardless you don’t notice it, it does not affect the movement. As you can see from the images, the tops are identical to my switch, but the bottoms have a different stamp some extra holes and the color of the data cable is different. None of that makes a difference.The drift became so bad playing Tears Of The Kingdom, I decided to try this. I could no longer clean it or add backing to the joycon or bend the back in. With the new joycon I can climb a tree or cliff and no longer walk off when not touching the joycon. For me it works great! Very happy with this cheap but very effective replacement for $13 bucks.Only recommendation I would have for the vendor is a package of two controllers AND the plastic controller housing. I have unscrewed the plastic housing multiple times through the years of cleaning the joycon and adding backing to it, in order to stop the drift, I partially cracked one. Still works fine but one screw does not hold the housing together as tight as the others. Just a suggestion.Great not having drift in the joycon.

I suggest watching YouTube videos on the repair and I highly recommend you purchase the joycon connectors and thermal paste and you purchase the Quinn Harbor frieght electronics repair tool set which has lifetime warranty on the tools required to completely disassemble a nintendo switch. I would completely refurbish the system like i did very rewarding picking up a 40$ used abused unit and refurbish it all the parts are only 50$ and you will get many years out of it. These joysticks work and work very well no calibration needed. I do recommend turning off your switch before you start tearing down your joycon to get to the Joystick and repair one at a time restart your switch and perform a function check after each one is repaired the system settings has a function check ✔️ once done. Pop open the console and replace the charge/ connectors on both sides and clean the joycon connectors. Then pop off the heat sink and clean and apply fresh thermal paste put it back together and enjoy your new system.

These look, feel, and perform exactly like the original joy sticks. Maybe even a little better. No issues calibrating them and fitment was perfect. They even included some extra screws in case you lose some during assembly/disassembly.

I replaced two analog sticks with these and so far all drift is gone and the new sticks feel solid. Note that the ribbon cable looks like it should go in further when replacing but it’s actually all the way in.I’ll update this review after a good amount of usage.
