I’m a professional commercial general contractor and I had to buy this item in a pinch to use to get my final inspections while waiting on my normal door hardware to show up. Thanks pandemic supply chain issues.This exit device didn’t even make it a week before breaking. The tab that engages the alarm is extremely weak and broke off preventing the alarm function from working as intended. The lock itself still worked but without the alarm feature it was completely useless for my needs. Don’t depend on this item.

Installation was pretty straight forward and fairly simple especially since I was replacing the original non-alarmed opener. Product seems sturdy enough and since the door is an emergency only door, as long as the alarm sounds if someone opens it without permission (which it did in initial tests) it will be just fine for our purposes. Alarm could be louder but I'm deducting one star because, as I have read in other reviews, they didn't include the sticker and that seems to be a recurring theme. Take some lessons here and step up your QC. In order to get 5 stars you have deliver a product as advertised.

The crash bar does what it states however, you will be lucky to get more than 3 weeks out of your 9v battery.You will pay far more for your batteries than you will the bar itself.I recommend you get some lithium rechargeable batteries with the purchase of this bar.

I installed this push bar in like a hour cause the instructions were cryptic at best and didn't help me at all. I ended up just moving it up and figuring it out. The alarm immediately broke after I armed it the first time. I bent it back and got it to work again then it bent again. The alarm is just cheap and it's not very loud too

Installed on a fire escape door that customers continued to use as a secondary exit. Alarm could be a little louder but overall a good product. Only issue is the the battery cover that is also the key switch moved so it was impossible to disengage the alarm. We added an extra piece of Styrofoam behind switch and problem was solved.

Worked great at first. The internal switch broke off after only a few turns of arming and disarming. Called the company and "it happens all the time" but we don't warranty that since it's a wear and tear issue. It's literally just a switch that the key flips up and down, no reason why this should break off from the board no matters how many times I turn it. I could understand had I been using this for years, but only a couple months? They know it's a weak product and don't warranty it and aren't interested in making it better.
