Bright! And minimalist projector perfect if you know what you want.
I've been using projectors for about 15 years now. My latest was the Hd146X, I had it in a bad location and it regularly overheated and crapped out after 2 years because of my own fault.I bought the HD39HDRx as a direct replacement for it. at the time of purchase it's only $30ish or so more than the 146x so I figure i'd try it.Things you should know, it has minimal features. Most significantly Keystone! you can ajust the keystone if the project is higher or lower than center, but if it's (significantly) left or right of center DO NOT BUY THIS PROJECTOR!! There is no LEFT OR RIGHT KEYSTONE.Also if youre using it for gaming and need to use the heigh related keystone the keystone is disabled during gaming mode. Which is really weird. The Hd146x allowed for gaming mode and keystone. So basically if you can't have your projector close to center vertically and horizontally, any you're expecting to use keystone don't expect alot out of this. It's a height reletated keystone only, and it looks like a digital keystone which means it will crop the image, so you'll lose imagine quality the more you keystone. If keystone is not a problem, and you can position your projector accordingly this bad boy is BRIGHT as heck! I would consider it one of the best value's on the market for a bright 1080 HDR projector. If keystone isn't a issue I would not hesitate to get this thing, for budget home theater/gaming.IT IS BRIGHT!!! the brightest project i've ever owned, and should suit most peoples needs. It's even too bright at night with my screen. So the eco mode is more than bright enough for me.That means savings since the bulb will last longer. The bulb on my previous optoma projector lasted longer than the DLP chip 2+ years. So I expect it's entirely possible this projector's bulb will last the estimated 4years. I would be happy with 3 though.I've only had this projector for a few days, I'll update it if anything changes, but I really wanted to comment on the keystone situation for anyone considering this projector.

Great product
I bought this one to replace my old Optomu. This one works great pictures is very clear and I’m using a hdmi transmitter. I will buy optomu again either when this one goes out or for another room.

I recommend this projector for a reasonable priced projector
The media could not be loaded. I shopped several projectors, and have tried 2 others before this one, but this was EXACTLY what I was after. This works when the lights are on in the room. I set this up in my garage where I had 4 LED shop lights and the light from the garage door on and you can still see the picture. Better if you can turn the light off directly above the screen, but usable if not. The picture is fantastic. I have it connected to a surround sound system so I cannot say if the sound is good.I have heard people talk to the fact that the fan is a little noisy in bright mode, but I changed mine to Eco+ and not only did the fan go almost completely silent but the picture barely dimmed. I keep it in Eco+ because I really can’t tell much of a difference in the picture, and it is still very bright. Not 4K quality, but I doesn’t really claim to be, but it is really good 1080P.See the pictures to show with 4 shop lights on, in the dark and then one to show the quality on a paused screen. There is no lag in sports events. All of the photos and the video are in eco+

Buyer beware of false claims of lamp life
This projector is mostly quiet and looks good but do not be fooled by the 15,000 hr lamp life claim as I was. A year and 1 month after purchase the lamp crapped out. And guess what. The manufacturer only waranties the lamp for 90 days. I ran a little math and if it had been on for a whole year that would have still came under 9,000 hrs... so they might as well say it lasts a gigilion hrs if they dont have to back that up with a warranty right. I thought ahead knwoing bulbs are a projectors weak point and bought 3 years of extended warranty through Asurion. Short story. Dont waste your money on it. Long storry after jumping through hoops for them for about 5 hrs my persistance paid off and they emailed me a lable to send my projector out to get repaired. A week and 3 days later i received my projector back cleaned and with a note that stated "customer must replace bulb". Guess what. They dont cover bulbs. Isn't that great. Learn from my mistake. Know that, while the picture quality is good, you are buying from a company that won't stand behind their grandious claims. do yourself a favor and don't shell out the extra 50 some odd dollars for a 3 yr cleaning contract that takes years of your life due to the stress of just trying to get your warranty honored. IMHO Optoma and Asurion both suck and are permanently loosing a customer and gaining bad publicity.

Great projector, Dolby atmos 4k hdr with fire 4k now!!
Good picture quality and allows the 4k and hdr streams to be accessed on prime, Netflix and Disney app on amazon fire 4k. Allows Dolby atmos audio streams to be an option. Tried several 4k projectors and just were not bright enough even in a dark room and had flickering issues due to a long hdmi cable run in my theater setup. Is a bit finicky when changing settings on initial setup but once it’s set I never change projector settings again. All voice activated with a harmony hub and Alexa. Very bright With ambient light present. Replaced a optima hd20 I’ve had for years and it is defiantly an improvement. Until more 4k content is available and atmos movies just not worth the extra for a 4k projector in my opinion.
