Nice and bright bulbs! I bought more.
Wow, I ordered this bulb to replace my center one in the bathroom and it is so clear and bright. It makes my other ones look yellow. It was so nice and bright that I am ordering two more to replace my other ones that look dull now. I will just keep those for emergencies until I can get more of these next time. They have gone up in price since I got mine this weekend but I will pay more for them. They are that good!

These are direct wire bulbs
These are a good way to get away from ballast driven CFLs. Not too hard to rewire the fixtures. the fixtures were a combination of emergency light and stairwell light. using these bulbs, we used a separate emergency light fixture. the total cost allowed us to not replace the electronic ballast ($20) and the emergency Ballast ($50) all for about $30.

Didn't last as long as I expected
The bulb it replaced lasted something like 8 years. This one lasted under a year.

This bulb seemed to work just fine..
This bulb seemed to work just fine... but I've only had it 5 months and it just burned out.... [last one I had lasted 4 yrs,.a 5000 hours average]so this one must have been defective... I would like Amazon to replace it... I will be contacting customer service tomorrow.
