Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is my first time to use the thermometer designed specifically for the kitchen and I wish I had known this fantastic product earlier! At first, it is very easy to use for a beginner. It is turned on when the probe is pulled away from the fame and off when the probe is put back. In addition, the reading is quite rapid and the accurate temperature is displayed in about one to two seconds. It is super useful for BBQ and grilling, as I always not sure whether the meat is cooked well or not. With this, I do not need to check them again by cutting them into small pieces again! It is indeed totally water proof as they claimed. I get used to the Celsius scale, and so glad to see that the transition from °F to °C is so simple by pressing the transition button once.Update: it is super water proof as I wash it with flow water for a while it is still ‘alive’.

I highly recommend this product. Very easy to use with accurate and fast readings. Easy cleaning with waterproof design and it will never get lost since it will stick to grill with strong magnet.Reading LCD is very bright.No matter how thick it is, now the meat is always at right level of cook.

My old digital thermometer was that huge-style double fork prong type, and it took a ton of room up in my drawer and also the handle got all sticky and gross. I LOVE this little thermometer.. it's super easy to use. You just rotate the needle piece and the display lights up, just stick in your chicken (I don't eat meat) and it automatically reads the temp. It works in a second and it's super lightweight. It's got the temp ranges for all meats listed on it so you can be sure that your food is cooked. It fits in the palm of your hand as well! Love it.

Very handy piece of equipment. My wife works in the food industry and I had her test it.What she liked: Very quick temperature reader. The LED light helps with reading it in darker places. Folding the metal probe out turns it on, and back turns it off.What she didn't like: The make. The plastic finishing felt a little rough, we wondered if it would survive several droppings. But again at the price, we cannot complain.Overall it is a bargain compared to the more expensive ones at the store. I could easily buy a few on standby which would still be cheaper.

This is the first meat thermometer I've used so I don't have much to compare it to but this does everything I would want and more. I honestly thought it would be a little cheap and gimmicky due to the fact that it has a bottle opener but frankly it doesn't seem cheap at all and the opener is just a perk. I like that the temperature constantly adjusts and isn't a one time static measurement. I really like the fact that the device will turn on as you extend the needle and will shut off as soon as you close it so you don't accidentally forget to turn it off. And the magnet is a nice touch to keep the thermometer right where I need it. Overall I'm very satisfied.

If you just want a good sized illuminated display with some additional functionality like display hold and auto off, this product fits the bill.If you are purchasing for the 2-4 second quick reading as advertised, I encourage you to check that claim for yourself.I experimented the quick read by placing it between bags of frozen vegetables in the freezer, after 4 seconds it had only changed about 20 degrees, after 2 minutes it has only changed about 50 degrees. I also tested the other direction timing the temperature change once removed from between the frozen vegetable packages, again after 4 seconds the recorded change was on,y about 20 degrees, though it did stabilize at a room temperature within 2 1/2 minutes.

I wanted a cheaper option for a meat probe, and boy did I get it. To turn on the probe, you extend out the metal probe from the base. The problem is, when fully extended it would turn off, almost like there was a short or loose connection, I would have to move it to get it back on again. I found it to be more trouble then it was worth. Spend a little extra and get a better quality probe.

I only used this thermometer (Kiaitre) only 2 times. and it stop working, I installed new battery's twice and still would not work this brand is JUNK. I will not buy any more
