I don't know about "round stems" versus "flat tops" but Master Caster and many other companies use the following letters to describe stems: "B" Stem is 7/16" x 7/8" Long "K" Stem is 3/8" x 1" Long I.e., "B" stems are relatively thicker and shorter than "K" stems, which are relatively thinner but longer than "B" stems. http://www.needcasters.com/how-to-measure-grip-ring-stem-casters.htm

Q: What is the seat height at its shortest and its tallest? (floor to top of cushion)

When I was sitting, the maximum height my chair can get is 19 inches from the ground. I measured this using a measuring tape. This is so inconvenient to me, as I cant keep my elbows comfortably on my desk. I think I should get a chair with more maximum height.

Q: Are the arm rests removable?

The arm rests ARE removable. However, the arm rests ARE NOT adjustable in the manner most customers would expect. The arm rests are static in height. The only way the arm rests are deemed adjustable is by the horizontal distance from the seat cushion. As they are screwed into the chair underneath the seat cushion and the user has about 2 inches room to decide if they would like the arm rests to come closer to or farther from their hips. This is decided at assembly and is not adjustable with flick or pull of a handle - rather you will need to flip the chair over and get out your screw driver.

Q: Would this chair be ideal for a 200 pound 6 feet person that will sit in it 4-5 hours a day?

I bought a very comfortable chair when I was at 200 pounds, I sat in it for 4-5 hours a day and now I'm at 250 pounds.
