Very powerful and inexpensive solution to very expensive brand specific blowers. The manufacturers sure try to take advantage of people when a universal like this, along with an $6 automatic on/off thermostat switch may even be a better bet.

I priced the same thing at Canadian pireplace stores and they wanted $299.I purchased at $49.95. The shippin and duty brought the total to just under $100 but still less than a third of the cost from a Canadian retailer.

This part came quickly and worked as expected. It doesn't come with a lot of how-to, so watch carefully what you remove with the old unit before installing this one.

I am not happy with this blower fan at all. It is a cheap piece of garbage. It DOES NOT have ball bearings on the fan cage. It is also way too loud, and I doubt that it will even last the winter. Waste of Money. Should have bought the Rotom. I doubt I will ever try my luck ordering from fireplaceblowersonline ever again.

Our old fan (almost 17 years old) started to 'make noises'. I ordered this Monday; it was shipped within 2 hours; I received it 4 days later (and this was a cross border US to Canada shipment)!We are using this in a Majestic Vermont 33BDVT fireplace, in our bedroom.Met expectations- knew from other reviews that it operated at higher rpm; it has a slighlty higher pitch than the old fan, makes a bit more noise, and moves more air. We can adjust the fan speed, and this unit should be fine for us (but my wife will have the final say on this -- she likes the fireplace off overnight, as the flame light bothers her). Since our winters can be very cold, and this unit heats our master bedroom, I appreciate it moving more air through the fireplace.Install Easy- as stated on Amazon, there are no instructions; I still had the instructions from the original kit- took me about 45 minutes, and more than a third of this time was setup/cleanup (my tools are in the basement and the fireplace is on the 2nd floor)- turn off fireplace and pilot, to let things cool down; the thermocouple wire below is HOT! Leave at least 30 minutes for this. Then turn off the the fan variable speed switch (if you have one).- disconnect 120V power (pull plug); pull the two crimp connectors on the motor; I marked these R & L with a Sharpie- unscrew the two 10mm washer nuts from mounting bolts that attach back plate to fireplace frame; left side is easier to get at than right side- pull old assembly forward, rotate and slide out the front (back plate will need to be horizontal, on the bottom, with fan sticking up)- unscrew old motor from backing plate (2 screws with 10mm washer nuts)- screw on new motor, reusing the two screws/nuts; I had to slightly enlarge the holes on my motor to 13/64" to accept the old screws- slide assembly back in, and rotate into place; mount back plate to fireplace frame and screw back on (reusing washer nuts)- reconnect the two crimp connectors to the new motor- restart fireplace: plug in 120V line, restart pilot, turn on fan (if you have the variable speed switch), turn up thermostat- fan will come on in 10 minutes or so, after the fireplace has heated upIt's January, so the fan will get a good workout during the next few months.

Drop in replacement, bolted right in. Has much smaller motor AND fan than the stock blower means it must run faster than original for same air flow.Overall good though considering OEM parts for my fireplace are no longer available.

we use our gas fireplace constantly in the winter this blower only stayed quiet for a few months, not sure what to try next.

The unit arrived actually a couple of days earlier than indicated. Unit is new and was very well packaged to protect it. I notice that it varies slightly from photo depicted in that it does not have the diagonally running cross piece on top that is there presumably for stability. Also, it is about a third, size wise, smaller than the original I replaced, including motor size. I installed it and it seems to work fine so far. Happy with Amazon's delivery reliability.

Very Prompt, delivered in one day and happy. Unfortunately does not work after installation!! Not a happy camper and haven't had a chance to remove and retest on the bench so hard to say I love it.. Will do in a few days.I take some of my words back. Does work.Would be nice to have an instruction sheet with it to mention that the fire place may have a thermodisc sensor and will only start the motor after a certain amount of heat! I found out the hard way after I ordered a different one! All good. Thanks
