This fan makes our fireplace the main heat source for our family room, allowing us to keep the bedrooms cooler for sleeping. Everything that you need is in the kit (except the fireplace). It’s a little awkward to get the fan through the front opening, but that’s about it. I wish the fireplace manufacturer thought about placing the speed control where it would be easier to access, but that’s a nit.

Pretty easy to install, with the exception of placement of the heat sensor. This is what controls how soon your fan turns on or off. It takes some experimenting on the location of the magnetic sensor, which can be too close or to far away from the hottest place in your furnace box.

If you are old, like we are, it's good if you know someone who can install it for you, we did. He installed it quickly, about 15 min., and then we turned it on and it worked! We'll use it often I'm sure, and enjoy the warmth.

This unit works perfect and the fan isn’t too loud. It would’ve got five stars but it was a little bit difficult to install and the instructions were virtually useless. It did not show the proper placement of the fan so my kids are installed it backwards which kept the thermostat warm in the fan running for hours. Once I corrected the installation it works perfect. Definitely worth the money
