Strawbees Imagination Kit STEM Building Set, 400 Pieces and 105 Challenge Cards

I represent an Academic Booster organization that supports our teachers by helping to supply items they wish to employ to enhance their students’ learning experiences. The Media Center Specialist at our local elementary school requested this item after hearing it highly recommended at a recent conference she attended. She was very excited to receive it and is just beginning to implement it with her 500+ (K-5) students.

We purchased several of these kits to put in a makerspace at the school Where I teach (3rd-5th grade). The kids have LOVED the Strawbees station! There are a few guides to use, but the creativity outside of those guides has been great too! Would highly recommend for a classroom too.

Our children's museum utilized Strawbees for a recent "Maker" themed event and both caregivers and children loved these kits! I especially enjoyed the challenge cards as they provide a lot of open-ended ideas for STEAM related projects both with strawbees and without. I wish these cards were available to purchase separately as well. My only complaint would be that the instructional manual with instructions for various building projects is a bit hard to understand. Not sure if it is the lack of type or the way the steps are illustrated. Overall, great product and we can't wait to use them again!

I bought this set for use in my “imagination stations” for my mobile makerspace. I like to have low tech items like this available for the students to stretch their thinking and engineering skills. It also lends itself to collaborative learning as well.

I am using this product in my classroom as part of my "Maker Space" activities. It is great for building creativity, engineering skills, and teamwork.

This product was used for our students at Turner Public School, and was very useful to the students.

This product has been great to help my child feel more confident in STEAM activities. I love that there are guided cards to inspire the creations and to get kids started with the activity. This is also a product that can involve several kids or parents and kids to work on as a group activity.
