I’ve been using this product for five years now I use once a month after my menstrual cycle I don’t have any issues with BV or yeast-infection but this was recommended to me by a group of girlfriends and it seemed I was the only one who didn’t know what it was. Do not shove this up your who-ha, I am begging you. My doctor recommended boric acid suppositories as a means to help prevent yeast infections. I have used other brands of these and not had an issue, but these made me feel like someone let loose a horde of fire ants in my crotch. It is said to be preferable to insert these at night before bed... only if you don't value getting any sleep. When you first put it up there, it's fine, and can't feel anything right away. After a few hours it starts leaking out of you. It leaks in a combination of watery fluid and chunky discharge. Might as well have a yeast infection for goodness sake. For me, it continued to leak for over 24 hours after putting it in. Feels similar to when you are on your period and not wearing a tampon, but to add insult to injury, it burns the outer skin of your vagina, and honestly, especially if you are laying down, it leaks into your butt crack too and then your butt crack is on fire as is you just had the most wicked diarrhea. All you can do at this point is your best to wipe it all off, but it's just incredibly messy and leaks for SO LONG. You can wear a pad to help catch the discharge, but it's very uncomfortable to have that messy pad against you. I prefer to just blow through several pairs of underwear... have a bunch handy cause you're going to need to keep changing them. You will get to the point where you are wondering how on EARTH it is possible for that small capsule to still be coming out of you, and by God, there will be more to come. I was dumb enough to try this several times thinking each time it was a fluke, I was doing something wrong... etc. Part of me just didn't want to be wasteful. I must say, sometimes after using you will have the pleasure of feeling the most intense itch of your life instead of (or on top of) the burning sensation. The idea that this is to help prevent yeast infections yet carries symptoms just as bad if not worse than a yeast infection makes utilizing this pretty darn obsolete and stupid. Try another brand, get the yeast infection, do anything but shove this up your precious flower...
