Heats up fast, light weight, gets way too hot! Caution!!
Don’t buy this to curl your hair. The settings are wacky. No I have medium fine hair. And this gets way too hot, don’t crank it all the way up, keep at a low setting. The straightener works good. The curling iron gets way too hot and does not curl. As a straightener this is perfect. And the swivel cord is nice and compact. I like the lock feature. It’s safe.light weight, easy to use. Heats up fast. although I did return it because the description was inaccurate, if you want thisfor a straight straightener, it definitely works for straightener. I wouldn’t recommend using it for a curler, be careful toNot leave ur hair on it- it’s will burn your hair.

Works so well!
I am no expert in curling my hair but this curling iron works very well. I've had a Chi flat iron for years and was happy with it but since I've never gotten the curling with flat iron down, I gave this a try. If I had more experience with hair I'd probably be able to do a lot with it, but I do sometimes wish I had gotten a Chi curling iron to manage it better as a beginner. Overall though It heats up fast, curls evenly and leaves hair shiny and bouncy not fried looking. I can definitely tell the difference between this and a cheap drugstore curling iron.

Honest Likes Vs. Dislikes
Likes: used along with the Chi Silk product it straightened and curled my hair and my daughters hair beautifully and it lasted for days which does not usually happen with other flat irons. They were telling the truth about the benefits of using ceramic tourmaline floating plates. With other irons the curls would droop within the hour and the hair would appear dry and thirsty. So, I was surely pleased with the styling outcome!Dislikes: the handling! It was quite difficult and frustrating to maneuver the Chi 3-in-one iron without constantly hitting the on/off button and settings button. I literally had to readjust the settings or turn it back on after every curl. It was a really poor choice of placement for the buttons and the buttons are very sensitive to the touch. In addition, the curl feature did not quite work the way I anticipated. The curls you see in my daughters hair was just by using the smooth feature and by maneuvering the iron in the same manner as any other basic flat iron. For us, the curl feature was useless. Therefore, I probably could have saved money and just bought the original Chi ceramic tourmaline flat iron for about $20-$30 less. But because of the awkward buttons, I struggled to decide between 3 or 4 stars.

THIS WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVE definitely buy!!!
I got one exactly like this years ago and it was still working perfectly I just happened to spill a bunch of soap on it and it sat like that sooooo I needed a new one and I knew I didn't want any other one. So glad I found this is the best for straightening and curling it's my only tool! It does it all and I rarely burn my self with the tip able to be gripped

Does not Curl
Great for hair straightening but curling? Not at all. I took it to my stylist too see if I was doing something wrong. No curls on my head or hers. As a curling iron there isn’t an arm to hold the iron/hair in place. We tried every which way. Very disappointed.

Meh🧐
The curls do not come out super curly. I get a better curl with the regular flat iron.

Where have you been all my life?
I travel often for work and I found the perfect item to take with me when I travel. I never know if I’m going to straighten or curl my hair, but I no longer have to pack a curling wand and a flat iron, I got this all in one and it takes half the space as 2 items. I counted and it heats up in 15 seconds 🤯 and both the flat iron & curling work great!

Ouch! Burned my thumb on curling function
I currently have a Hot Tools double curling styler. It looks like a duck's bill at the end and a small gap in between the two rods. Curls the hair great since it gets all sides and smooths as it goes. I was hoping this Chi would work as well, if not better, just in case my HT's one breaks (it's still going strong). If you want this as a smooth and curl at the same time, be warned. The tip is very short and as you're twirling your hair, you can burn yourself as I did. Had high hopes, but unfortunately I'm returning. If the Chi had a lock that allowed a small space to slide the hair and a larger plastic tip, it would be perfect. Right now, you need to place the hair, clamp down, hold the small tip, and twirl hoping the hair doesn't slip out and your thumb/finger doesn't touch the hot plates. If you do get, I suggest practicing while it's cold to see if it works for you.
