[FEATURES] As well as the elegant, 1.5L carafe style jug, the jug is finished with an easy-pour spout and removable stainless steel lid and two-way choice of straining apertures - mesh filter or 'big mouth' pouring outlet..
[USAGE] Equally suited to hot or cold liquids, the wide neck has enough room for ice cubes, fruit (lemon segments, mulled wine, fresh berries etc for infusions) or good old teas, coffee, hot water etc.

The LIVIVO Glass Jug Pitcher is a carafe-style vessel with some unique and useful properties. Firstly, the material: LIVIVO chose to utilise Borosilicate Glass (aka Pyrex), a type of glass with high-levels of silica and boron trioxide as the main glass-forming constituents. This durable material choice - the glass preferred by high-end restaurants, science labs and manufacturing - does not crack, shatter or shock under extreme temperature changes like regular glass would. Its durability has made it the glass of choice for high-end restaurants, laboratories and wineries. Imagine a material so hardy you could use it on the stove top for a fruit tea infusion, then immediately run cold water over it for cooling! Then, the design: The elegant carafe does not sacrifice form for function. Instead, it's beautiful proportions and tapering base-to-neck sides ensure a large surface area at the base(ideal for stove top use and stability) and a narrower neck (small surface area for minimum heat loss). Whilst the jug tapers, the neck is still large enough to easily fit ice cubes, fruit pieces, tea-bags etc in the mouth. A stainless-steel two-way outlet lid fits snugly in the top. We've included two different apertures on the lid - one with a fine mesh, for straining loose-leaf teas and coffee grinds, and another wide-mouth aperture when you just want to pour - bits n' all. As well as being dishwasher safe, cleaning is easy thanks to the wide neck - grab a bottle brush and reach into the corners.
