Very versatile bike rack!
Awesome bike rack. I got this product earlier than it's expected date. I have a very small sports car with a small trunk and bumper. I specifically got this bike rack due to it's wide range of application. It works really well. The instructions on how to use it were very informative. It also gave foot notes based on the specific vehicle you have which was extremely useful in my case. The only complaint I have is that I did notice some minor scratches in the clear coat on my trunk. I do believe this was due to me laying the bike rack on the ground prior to install. But it is something to keep in mind. Overall great product. Definitely worth the price.

Just what we were looking for. Great value.
Turned out I didn’t check the size/fit chart carefully enough and my make/model of car wasn’t listed as a fit. But it actually does fit my car well. We’re very happy with it.

Great Bike Rack - Highly Recommend
This bike rack is amazing. This story paints me as a bit of a flake, but I"m telling it in praise of the bike rack.I was moving from Georgia to Ohio. My car was packed, so I had to haul my bike up on a rack, which I had never done before. I had purchased this rack from Amazon because people said it was so trustworthy on long drives. Now, if I had a brain in my head, I probably would have tested this rack BEFORE I hit the road on my 700 mile road trip, but apparently, I don't. After I loaded up all of my earthly possessions in my car, it was time to hook up the rack and the bike. I'm going to insert one criticism here. The written directions are worthless. Instead of helpful bullet points and pictures, it's just long blocks of texts using technical words.I gave up on the directions and used the few pictures to figure out how to hook up the bike. I was starting to get nervous that I wasn't doing it right when my apartment complex maintenance guy walked up. I told him I was having some trouble and asked if he had hooked up a bike rack before. He hadn't either, but we figured two heads were better than one and had the bike on the rack in about 15 minutes. We did some wiggle tests, and it seemed sturdy. Now, generally a story that starts like that ends with a twelve-car pile-up on the highway, but not this one. I stopped after about ten miles to check everything, and it was completely sturdy. I kept checking throughout the drive and had no problems. I drove about 75 the whole time, and there was only one stop where one of the straps had come loose. This was on mile 500 after I had just driven through mountains in the pouring down rain. This success story speaks to the greatness of this rack. You'll probably want to live safer than me and actually watch a YouTube video about hooking up your bike (and then maybe give it a test spin before going 80), but I don't think you can go wrong with this rack.

So glad I bought this - needs one addition
My car has a spoiler and the first time I used this, it rubbed some of the paint off. I purchase a pool noodle at the dollar store, cut it to fit over my spoiler and now it works perfect. One thing I learned to make this easier to put on, hook the top hooks first that will hold it as you adjust the knobs. Once you adjust them, you don't have to undo and redo them, just unhook the hooks.I do have a little trouble when putting 2 bikes on, there isn't a ton of room to get the one bike closest to the car but it does work. I wish is were just a little bigger so there was a little more room to get that first bike on.

Bike rack works, but not with all bike frames
We just received our rack and tested it out today. Rack is not difficult to put on the car, and stays on nicely. However, I docked it a star because though everyone talks about what cars the rack can fit on, not anywhere is mentioned (or that I could find) what bike frame types. We ordered this rack with the assumption that any bike we had would fit (yes we are newbies at this). One of our bikes fit fine, but the other, a Cannondale Catalyst 4 mountain bike, doesn't fit fine. This bike's frame is wider than the other bike so doesn't sit into the cups very well. It sits almost on top instead. In addition, we were not able to put both bikes on the rack. It was one or the other. Finally, we had to turn the mountain bike around (backwards) so that the gear wouldn't sit smack up against the frame of the bike rack. Part of the peddle still does, but it's not as bad. I have contacted Hollywood to see if they have any solutions or adapters for the cups. In the meantime, if anyone has a suggestion, other than returning the rack, I am all ears.

So far so good.
Fits on my 2010 Corolla S (spoiler). Holds my Trek Marlin 7 very securely. Very sturdy on haggard country roads, highways and hardly moves when going off bumps on bridges.Have used it on probly 10 or more trips so far. When mounting the rack in the very center of the trunk, the bike (at least my 29" mountain bike does) sticks out to the side a couple inches. Possibly the same amount as the side mirrors or 2-4 inches further. Hasn't caused any problems, but if you travel on country roads with no shoulder, its good to watch out for mailboxes and such just in case.I use the extra tie-down strap to strap my fork against the rack frame to keep my wheel from moving, around my crank arms to keep them from moving, then thru the frame and back to the topFits in my trunk after using. I keep the side things locked in place, so all i do is take it out of the trunk and strap it on, no need to keep re fitting.

Excellent Mount - Very Sturdy over 1500+ miles
Very nice bike rack, very sturdy when properly mounted (mounted on my Lexus GS 350 and fits nearly perfectly). I drove 1500 miles over the course of a week with my road bike attached and had zero issues at all driving some very treacherous back roads in West Virginia as well. At one point I did have 2 bikes mounted for a few hours and didn't have any issues. I did have to tight the lower 2 straps after adding a 2nd bike since the mount sat a half inch lower but again no problems and I highly recommend this mount for long trips. When properly secured there is virtually no movement of the bike or mount when driven under normal conditions (say under 85 mph and normal speeds around curves). After my 1st initial mounting I believe I could likely install this next time in about 20 minutes and just a couple more minutes to secure the bike. Make sure you tighten every strap as tight as possible both before and after mounting the bike. I would also recommend wrapping the straps around the mount and tying them off tightly to prevent them from unraveling and also as added protection if the clasps were to randomly break or give away. The mount comes with one extra long 7th strap that should be used to secure the the wheels and bottom of the frame to the mount to prevent it from swaying or bouncing off the mount. The only negative I experienced is likely specific to my car model, the tiny lip spolier on my car comees within about a quarter inch of the mount. I wish the mount came with some protective foam in this region of the mount so that there wouldn't be any metal bars rubbing on the spoiler but not the end of the world, I just wrapped some of the excess straps around that area and it did the trick.

Great rack ***Includes 1 year update***
Great rack. I put this on my 2009 Kia Spectra. You can tell it's good quality and haven't had any problems so far. I like that the hooks are all rubberized so it doesn't damage the car. Came all assembled in a very large box. I've driven fairly fast with this rack and it doesn't budge. It's always a good idea to check the bike as you're driving to make sure, though.*******1 Year Update - The rack is still performing just as when I bought it. This truly is a very durable rack. You can easily buy a much cheaper rack, but this is WELL worth the money. I'm never worried about my bike moving around. I recently had to slam on the brakes due to an idiot driver in front of me and I had my bike on this rack the bike would have swung into my car.

BMX Bikers be careful.
This rack is very high quality. I love the build quality of the rack. It is also veery easy to use.I own a 2010 Mazda 6 and it fit very well with very little effort.I purchased this rack to hold my son and his friends BMX bikes when we drive to parks. It is a chore to get two bikes to fit in the trunk. BMX bikes are only 20" bikes and some have unusual frames. It is a very tight fit with one of my son's friend's bike. We have not found any bike that does not fit but since there are so many different manufacturers and models I can't say that there is not one that won't.If you are interested in the rack for smaller bikes you may have problems. I am sure it is perfect for adult bikes.I have had the rack for a couple of weeks and have only used it a couple of time so far. It is very easy to put on and take off and hold the bikes very securely. A couple of my son's friends have mentioned that their family's have bike rack but they are not as nice as this one.All in all I love the convience and quality of this rack. I would definitely recommend this bike rack..

Best bike rack I have owned or used
I had the saris bones bike rack before this and it was super cumbersome on both my 2001 Saturn SL and my 2011 Honda Civic. In fact, it even messed up my paint on both vehicles, and had to be readjusted several times during a trip lasting more than 1 hour.I bought the Hollywood rack this summer and it is the best purchase decision I have made in a while. It protects my car and my bikes. It fits my mountain and road bike, and it also works with by husband's bike(s). I recently moved from Texas to Indiana and drove the entire way with two bikes on the back without a hitch. I didn't need to readjust it at all and my car/bikes are in perfect condition. I have since taken it on several trips around the state and from Indiana to Iowa, Kentucky, and Kansas a few times and have had no problems. I couldn't recommend it more highly. While I follow my friends whose bikes are teetering around, mine is secure and I have no worries.

Excellent product
I was hesitant to order a rack that was not made by one of the "Big 2" rack manufacturers, but I didn't want to spend big money for something I thought I would not be using a lot. What a nice surprise. The quality on this rack is 5-star. It mounts easily and removes in seconds. Instructions and initial mounting were a breeze. We have it mounted on a hatchback Chevy Aveo and it works perfectly. The top rubber contact bar is against the glass, and there is so little pressure on that point that you have no worry if your mount requires it to contact the rear glass. Nearly all the weight and pressure is on the lower bar. The straps and hardware are excellent quality, and the rubber tie-down straps for the bikes are quick and very efficient. Take a look at this rack before you spend more money on a name brand. I highly recommend it.

I really like this bike rack
I really like this bike rack. It's really convenient to use as long as you've read all of the instructions. I didn't understand why the locking mechanism was loose until my boyfriend pointed out that you have to tighten it once you have the rack fully in position. You also want to make sure that you're attaching this to the back of your car at the right angle, or else your bike will not sit on it correctly. The rubber straps have held my bike in perfectly well and the rack fits nicely with my 2005 Hyundai Accent. We have used this with my bike (woman's) and have not need an adjustment bar like some reviewers have mentioned. I also have not been able to try this with two bikes yet, but one was perfectly secure while traveling at 75mph on the highway. The straps were also just as tight as they were from the beginning of the trip as they were at the end. Great buy for a great price!

Great bike rack!
I got this for my daughter to use at college with her "07 Subaru Forrester which has a hatchback. None of the reviews said that it could be used with this model car but we tried it and it worked great. It is easy for her to adjust using the teeth cogs with fold down flaps for adjusting the angle of the bike rack and fits two bikes very comfortably without scratching the car. It felt secure when we attached her bike and it was lightweight enough and easy to collapse and put in the rear of her car. One of my favorite features was the stabilizer strap in the center of the bike rack. It lets you tie the strap around the bikes in a figure 8 pattern to keep the bikes from flopping while on the road. I would definitely recommend this bike for the stability, funcionality and price.

Works great, easy to install, not perfectly straight on our car though
This worked for us, and we're happy. The stabilizer parts were essential. I can't imagine being happy with a rack that didn't have those. Because of the particular height of our Hyundai Elantra trunk, the angle on the rack was somewhat upright. I.e. We couldn't get the bar to be level. But the bikes were then just held at a bit of an angle and it still worked great, though I think it would have been better if it had been flat. The closeness of the bikes required loosening the handle-bars on one in order to turn sideways, because one bike was small enough that it was held higher and got in the way of the other. But it worked. I might have gone with the three-bike option though if I'd known about this, because then we could have just spaced them out more and would have the three-bike option if we ever need it. But we're happy with this.

Surprisingly sturdy.
The setup is pretty easy and the design makes it easy to install on pretty much any car. It takes a lot of practice just so you remember to fasten all the straps and secure everything properly. I mostly use it for short trips, maybe 10-15 minutes of driving time. But I have used it to secure a road bike and mountain bike for a 100 mile drive. I was kind of nervous and paranoid about it the first time, but if you do everything right the bikes stay super secure. Some of the straps might have been marginally looser after the drive, but nothing I would be concerned about. If was going on a longer trip, I might check it every 3 hours or so.
