The scale turns off automatically in a minute or two. If you need the tare function that's a problem. You can tare a bowl. Take it to a counter to prepare and add an ingredient. Go back to the scale to get ingredient weight and if it took a few minutes your tare is gone because the scale turned itself off and lost the tare value. Very annoying. Basically you can't take the bowl off the scale which is not the way I'm used to working. My old scale didn't have this problem.Also the indent on the back for hanging the scale is useless. No way to align the hole with the screw head you're trying to hang it on!

Edit: it is April 6, 2020, nearly 11 months after purchase. I weighed some butter that was from the store at 4 oz. It weighed 3.88 oz on the scale. Im not concerned about accuracy. For the price i figured it wouldnt work for more than 6 months but still serves its purpose. Pleased.I've had this scale for less than a month and the printing for the buttons rubbed off. That's ok though, not a big deal for me as I know what it's for. Work pretty well, I bought a .93 lb slab of salmon at the store and this scale weighed it at .89 lbs. It is pretty accurate. Not perfect but that's ok. If you need a very accurate scale, look elsewhere. If you want something that works and gets the job done, this is a winner.Fast forward to nearly August. It's still working after a few months AS IT SHOULD, still accurate, durable, and worth the money. I know I read reviews of similar scales that had stopped working shortly after purchase. I did not have any issues with this one thus far.

I had been using this exact scale for six months when I left it in a vacation rental by accident. Because I use this scale several times a week in bread baking, I had to have another right away. I ordered it and it arrived a few days later. One major advantage of this scale is that is uses just 2 AAA batteries for power. I had never needed to change the batteries in the old one. I compared the accuracy with another scale I have, and it was spot on. The best features are the ease is changing the weight measurements. Ounces and grams are the two I use most. I would highly recommend this scale to bakers or others that need to weigh larger or very small quantities.

I purchased this scale in February 2019 to replace one that was dying a slow, painful death. I loved the sleek design, easy-to-read display, and the various weights that it measures. Even considering the price I was hoping it would last longer than 6 months.I own a small home based business and I don't use this daily but it is used multiple times a week. Over the past couple of months I've noticed that it isn't as precise as it used to be. Last night I measured out 8 ounces of sugar on another scale that I know is accurate. Weighed it on this one and the first tame it said 7.71, the second it said 7.85, and the third it come up as 8.11. Last week I made a batch of soap that was supposed to be 60 ounces total. I added a couple of ounces to overcome the inaccurate weights thinking it would be fine. Nope...it ended up being SIX ounces short. Being that this scale is supposed to handle up to 22 lbs and my batch weight was under 2 pounds, I don't know how it could have been off by so much. Which is unfortunate because my labels and prices are set for specific grams/ounces and I cannot sell these being underweight.I've already replaced this scale with something else that can be calibrated if it ever goes wonky. This scale might be fine for light use or if you don't need to be accurate, but it didn't hold up with regular use.

This is my first food scale and it’s just right for my needs. I was concerned a scale would take up more counter space but it is easily stored away on its side in my kitchen cabinet when not in use. It’s compact, lightweight, accurate and you can’t beat the price!

Recently diagnosed as diabetic, I intend to use this scale for better portion control and in the implementation with new recipes. While I haven't used it extensively, it is as easy to use as can be.

I am very pleased with this scale. It is very easy to set up, weigh and measure what ever you can think of that will fit on the scale and weighs less than 22 lbs. The display window is very easy to read, and the unit shuts down all by itself if left idle for more than 2 minutes. It's almost fun to use! I find myself in the kitchen saying, "let me weight that." Or, "let me show you how much that weighs." My wife, after a while, says, "knock it off." Anyway, in the short time I've had the scale (arrived today 5-30-2019), I am impressed with all it can do for a mere $16. This scale replaced our aging, spring operated, analog unit that is now difficult to read due to the scale's, and operator's age. This new digital unit is so much easier to operate and read. I give it my highest recommendation with one caution: I've only had it less than 24 hours. So, for first impressions it has my (*****) five star rating.

That's a very helpful tool for my things. I like to use because that gimme a exactly amount when is small ingredients. I recommend 100%.Es una herramienta muy útil para mis cosas.
