The Teensy 4.1 is the latest iteration of an incredibly popular development platform with a 600MHz ARM Cortex-M7 processor, NXP iMXRT1062 chip, four times the 4.0 flash memory, and two new locations for optional memory. Teensy 4.1 is the same size and shape as Teensy 3.6 (2.4" x 0.7") and provides larger I/O capacity such as Ethernet PHY, SD card jack, USB host port.

When working at 600MHz, Teensy 4.1 consumes approximately 100mA current, supporting clock dynamic scale. Unlike traditional microcontrollers, changes in clock speed can cause incorrect baud rates and other issues. Teensy 4.1 hardware and Teensyduino software support are designed to support Arduino syncing function and change speed dynamically. Arduino functions such as serial baud rate, audio stream sample rate, delay () and millise() and Teensyduino extensions such as IntervalTimer and elapsedMillis continue to work normally even when the speed of the CPU changes. The Teensy 4.1 also has a power shutdown function. By connecting the button to the ON/OFF pin, hold the button for 5 seconds will disable the 3.3V power supply completely, and you can simply press the button to turn it on. When a coin cell is connected to the VBAT, the Teensy 4.1 RTC tracks the date and time while the power is off. The Teensy 4.1 can also be overclocking far beyond 600MHz.

ARM Cortex-M7 brings many powerful CPU functions to a true real-time microcontroller platform. The Cortex-M7 is a dual emission processor and the M7 can perform two directions per clock cycle at 600MHz. Of course, running two at the same time will depend on the compilation sequence instructions and logs. The initial parameters show that the C++ code compiled by Arduino tends to achieve two instructions in about 40% to 50% while performing intensive numerical work using whole numbers and pointers.
