DEA Products DEA A6526 Transmission Mount

Installation was a breeze. All of the mounting holes lined up perfectly and there was no problem inserting the bolts through this mount. I replaced all of the mounts on our 2000 Honda Civic DX and it made a significant difference in the way the car performs. Engine vibrations disappeared and that annoying steering wheel vibration is a distant memory.The transmission mount replacement required that I support the transmission with a jack while I unbolted the old mount. Other than that, everything was straight forward and no special tricks required to replace. I highly recommend replacement of all engine mounts as it will restore that wasted power on your engine.Here is the list of mounts I purchased and replaced for our 2000 Honda Civic DX: DEA A6506, DEA A6526, DEA A6556, DEA A6520, and DEA A6502. Removal of the old mounts and installation of the new mounts took about 3 hours (the toughest one was the rear engine mount - see my review of DEA A6506 for a simple tip to make it an easy install).Note: Honda and DEA does not recommend the use of a pneumatic wrench to remove the bolts on the frame of the vehicle.

OEM Honda are ridiculously expensive for a 20 year old car. So I took a chance on this based on other people's reviews & price. I actually bought complete set for a 96 Civic DX. I'm really glad I did. Drives and sounds like a New car again. No more vibrations & rattles. Just a smooth drive. This transmission mount went in with ease all hole lined up. As for durability, I will have to check back in. Over all I'm satisfied so far.

Great mount to use if needing a replacement

5 stars now because of ease of installation, it bolted right in after couple of pumps on the floor jack to line up the horizontal screw. The mount seems firm and stout and is definitely better than the worn out one it replaced. I will update this review if any issues arise.
