The original battery died in my Dyson and this was an extremely easy fix and upgrade! I have found that the battery lasts longer and I have never run out of charge when cleaning my home. (House is 5000 sq/ft+) I love that they finally made a battery that's easy to install, just click it in. It's a perfect fit and has no issues charging with the original charger and dock. I have not had any issues with it heating up. Overall very happy with this upgraded battery. It is just as high quality as the original if not better. More powerful and larger capacity too. I loved the extra parts it came with as well!

Choose another brand. This one worked fine for 9 months then just went dead. Won't charge and won't turn on. I don't understand the higher price but I can tell you it's not worth the money. Other brands are out there for 1/2 the price and that is what I'm buying next.

Updated Review: Customer service reached out after the battery died within 10 months of purchase. We were able to verify that it was a manufacturer related issue and they sent me a replacement battery. Dyson is working great now and I am relieved to get some more life out of the vacuum. Original Post: This was a great battery when I first bought it as it fit my Dyson perfectly. I followed the instructions to extend battery life that were provided which I felt were a great touch and it has officially died and is non responsive after only 10 months. I definitely expected this battery to last longer than that. Disappointed in long term performance.

Fit perfectly in the Dyson but I returned it because the vacuum was broken and no longer needed the battery. Unable to say about performance or longevity of the charge but it fit right in place with no difficulties.

i’ve never had a “back up” battery for a vacuum cleaner but i have to say, this item is a God send when cleaning the whole house! and the two extra filters is a super duper bonus!

Lasted 1 year and 9 days. Used it today put it on the charger after going back 10 minutes later it's not charging and the vacuums will not turn on.

My old battery just stoped working so I had to get a new one. I wasn't sure this would fit but it looks like the same one. Very easy to install and the vacuum turns on now. It seems like it last way longer then the battery that came with the vacuum in the first place. I can do my whole house now without it dying. Definitely a good buy as my vacumm is like new again.

The battery is more powerful and efficient than the original Dyson. However, I can't comment on its durability.
