Say this while browsing for kewtech version which i also now own, but very impressed with this device, level of functions and details on screen for the price is quite impressive. easy to use and good design and appears to be built well. a very useful and welcome addition to my set of testing equipment. Does more than some branded higher priced devices.

After an issue with a socket and knowing a new washing machines and dryer were going into it after some building modifications I purchased this to do a quick test. I know it's a cheap one and you can pay a lot more for these testers. It works fine and tests for obvious faults and indicated that it wasn't the socket or ring main at fault. It turned out to be one of the other appliances that got plugged in there. So, happy with that I tested a lot of the other sockets in the house and discovered a faulty one. So that will shortly be replaced. It's a useful little tester for the average DIYer.

Easy to use, backlight make the screen easy to read. Remaining a more basic tester i had really like the fact you can see the live voltage reading on the display. I also has a function to check for leakage between N & E which my old one did not have. I using to to test plugs sockets while working away from home before plugging in any of my equipment. Looks robust. It also checks that the earth in connect which is very important for me.

Quality product read the instructions before use, I did not and after pressing the red button to see what it did managed to trip my main consumer board and no everything lol this socket tester works well, read the instructions first.

It does what it says on the tin pratical

Bought to replace a similar product that failed. Works as it should with clear readout. My previous unit identified a problem with a open neutral return in the house wiring, not the socket, that was not obvious without a tester. I check all sockets annually for safety and reassurance.Build quality is good but not exceptional. You have to rely on the unit being sound for safety because there is no obvious way to test the unit for all errors.
