These Things Can Save You Hours Going To Get Tools!
I have been a huge fan of Swiss Army Knives for decades! I won't be caught without one except on an airplane or in court. I have always had the Champion in the past. They DO break if you seriously misuse them, but not easily; you have to torture them. I went hmmm and ahhh for awhile and decided I'd try this instead of getting another Champion. I especially liked the multi-size nut driver and the "Channel Lock" style pliers. I have yet to use the nut driver thing so far, but I've already used the "Channel Lock" type pliers a few times. Nice! They open nice and wide, in a relative sort of way. The small knife is missing; it's just a nail file type thing now. The Champion has a pen, tweezers, and a toothpick. Oh! I remember! There's a "jeweler's" screwdriver wound into the corkscrew on the Champion. That was missing. I grabbed that from one e of my old ones and put it in there. This one has two slots, but it only had the toothpick, if I remember right. I added the tweezers (from a broken Swiss Army Knife.) I'm thinking of changing my mind and adding the pen instead of one of them, probably the toothpick.Anyway! The remaining (large) blade now has a lock!! Very nice! It's not going to close on your fingers or anything until you release it! The spring metal hold open devices on the scissors and the pliers have been improved! It's hard to explain, but there's MUCH less chance of them going off to one side and getting bent out of shape like they do on the Champion. There is NO reduction in quality anywhere! The knife was dangerously sharp, just under a razor blade. It's already a little duller than it was, from my use stripping wires and stuff, but not much! I'm used to having to sharpen Swiss Army Knife blades every once in awhile. Absolutely no complaints! I guess I wish they'd send it with the tweezers and a pen. Not sure if mine was missing something or what, but every single Swiss Army Knife I have (I have three or four with just one little thing broken) has got a spare tooth pick, pen, and tweezers. Not a big deal at all.

Its convenient size and well made design make it useful no matter where you might be
I chose this particular model because I had never seen a Victorinox with the black grips on it. Now that I have it in my hands it neither adds nor takes anything away from these remarkable tools that I been using over 30 years now for all kinds of small chores around the house and out. I have another one that doesn't have all the jobs this one does that was a gift from my dad. That knife lived with me in the hot deserts and tropical rainforests of Africa over 15 years and travelled with me through Europe, Haiti, South America and the USA. Its convenient size and well made design make it useful no matter where you might be. If you keep them clean and don't use it for things they were not meant to be used for this is a tool that will last you a lifetime. Its really hard for me to imagine any guy anywhere in the world who would not love getting one of these as a gift. My only suggestion is that you spend the extra few bucks to get the belt pouch. It's so easy to set something like this down and walk away from it leaving anyone with low morals and an eye for quality an opportunity they will find hard to resist.

Victorinox S54 and S557 multi tools
The products mentioned I believe have been a great benefit and aid to me, as I am confined to a wheel chair. The S54 I suspend from my neck with a lanyard and is always at hand. There is not a day gone by that I do not use this tool for any chore that should arise, what a time saver!

Should you buy this? Yes.
I’m not really a SAK collector but I went through a process of figuring out which one is best all around. This is the Evolution Grip S54, Wenger style Swiss Army Multitool, made by the original Swiss Army Knife manufacturer, Victorinox. I’ll be selling the others besides the large 111mm WorkChamp. But for an EDC, I’m sticking with this one, it’s simply the best overall. It’s wide, but that width actually makes it sit in your pocket nicely without moving around too much. And it’s basically like carrying a tool chest in your pocket at all times, that can double as an effective outdoor and survival tool. Without needing a belt pouch or clip. A lot of bushcrafters say the SwissChamp is better, but after using both I disagree. Of course, in the woods you’ll still want a good full tang blade no matter what. The S54 is really a Multitool, not a knife. But the blade on it is short enough to legally carry anywhere besides the usual places like airports. The SwissChamp scissors and pliers are better but this is better with everything else. Plus it has a lock feature for both the main screwdriver and the the blade. It also doesn’t have a bunch of stupid things on it you’ll never use that were a thing like 50 years ago like the SwissChamp.

No disappointments here - worth the money IMO
This is a great knife. The size is as expected for so many tools, but the weight and ergonomic grip make it surprisingly comfortable to hold. The primary knife blade locks up extremely well and has very little side-to-side play. The main knife blade is the only blade that has a locking/release mechanism. The scissors are sharp and the blades have very little play and can easily cut through a few sheets of paper. All of the other tools/blades are sturdy when deployed and do what they're designed to. I think they could have put in a little better compass, as this one seems a little hokey. It would definitely be better than nothing in a pinch.

Loss of Respect
Received a 32 function Victorinox knife. Evidently, they are becoming Americanized and cheap. Poor knife, NO carrying case. When did Victorinox stop sending carrying cases/belt sheath with their knives? And, it is not worth the money being paid. It will go b ack.
