Vibrant Butterflies: Our Favorite Visitors to Flowers and Gardens (Nature Appreciation)

The photographs of the Butterflies in this book are large and beautiful! The book shows stages of a Butterfly's life cycle in an up close, detailed, view. There is a smaller photography section in the back of the book, that shows the following; 1) What Caterpillars looks like and the Butterflies or Moths they become, 2) Commonly seen Caterpillars and Butterflies, 3) Common native Butterfly species, and 4) Non-native Butterfly species commonly on display in living exhibits. This is not a large book, so don't expect this book to be on the same level of information and details that an Audubon Society book would be; it's only 132 pages long. Accept it for what it is, a wonderful book with information and photographs of beautiful Butterflies. Most people wouldn't ever get this close to a Butterfly, to see what's in this book.

A gift for a friend...she loved it

I bought this beautiful book for my niece & she loves it! It teaches you how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. The picture quality isn't perfect & I think they could have put more butterfly species in the book. That's why I only gave it 4 stars.
