Great in tight places like small streams and creeks.
I really like these rods; I own five now. The quality is consistent, and the value far exceeds the price. I fish ultralight almost exclusively and can rely on these rods for sensitivity and strength. Paired with an Okuma Avenger or Ceymar, they are perfect for me.

Makes panfish fishing so much more fun
It's so fun to pull in panfish or the occasional bass/pike on this rod compared to something heavier.Ugly Stik is cheap and effective. I've never been a fan of the non-cork handles since they visible gunk up, but Ugly Stik is one few inexpensive options for a 4.5' rod without paying > $100 or switching to a longer rod.

One piece rod, not three piece rod
The description said three piece rod. I thought that would be great for backpacking. It's a one piece rod. Good rod, but not good for backpacking.
