I use net protection pads on my Festool sanders because I don’t use Festool sandpaper. Instead, I use 3M cubitron mesh sandpaper. The Festool hook and loop pad on their sanders do not hold the 3M mesh sandpaper well. However, with a protection pad added, the 3M mesh sandpaper holds very tightly to the protection pad.I got these Hasanbar pads to see how they compared to my Festool ones. They work good but they don’t hold the 3M mesh paper as well. They do hold tightly hold the 3M paper and I have no problems using them. I’ve just noticed that when I go to take the sandpaper off that the Festool pads hold onto the paper much tighter. To me, that’s a positive. To others, it may not be a big deal.Overall, this is how I look at it - at the time I am reviewing these pads, this Hasanbar 2-pack is $1.01 less expensive than the Festool branded 2-pack. Although they do work and do hold the 3M mesh sandpaper they don’t do it as well as the Festool pads and for me since there is only a $1 difference between the two company’s pads, I’m going to stick with my Festool pads.

Updated review: the felt backing (loop side) doesn't adhere to the sander nearly as well as original Festool sandpaper does. I had to stop using this today because it kept falling of the sander.Original review: Perfect fit of holes and diameter. Adheres well to sanding pad and sandpaper. Very useful when a more delicate touch is needed when sanding such as to not gouge a finish when placing the sander down. Skilled users might not need this if they don't have an issue, but it's certainly great for new users.

Picked this up for my ETC 125 and it fits exactly as it should. All the dust ports line up as they should. The pad itself is well made so far. It also sticks the the sander and the sandpaper sticks to it, so all good. The price is very good as well, I always like saving a little green. And if it lengths the life of my main pad, all the better.Nice pad, awesome price, gladly recommend!
