Zen Art Brass Feng Shui Desktop Zodiac Gong W Red String Bracelet W3359

I think this Feng Shui brass gong is perfect. It's exactly what I expected. It's lightweight and goes perfectly with my decorating style . Its size makes it perfect for any table or shelf . It's not flimsy despite the light weight but I wouldn't call it super sturdy either..if you dropped it or if it fell off a shelf, the wooden frame would surely come apart. But the gong itself would be fine . Value for the money: I'd say it's worth the price. I love it!

I’m very surprised with just how nice this little gong is. I wasn’t, of course, expecting Zildjian quality, not at this price, but it’s a very nice sounding gong. Striking the center produces a solid, sharp, high pitch (for the size) ring, and striking the outer edge produces a soft, complex chime. Anywhere in between is a combination favoring one or the other depending on where you hit it. The wood frame is inexpensive but perfectly suitable and presentable. There’s a nice I-Ching type coin embedded in it. The only con I can give is the string threaded through the top of the gong....it’s going to abrade due to the metal edges of the small holes and will have to be replaced at some point. I have some Kevlar thread I’ll use when that time comes, which will probably outlast the gong itself. I bought this for use in circle and it’s going to be a beautiful addition! Buy with confidence.

More of a decorative piece than able to be used for actual sound. It’s very “tinny”

If you are a sales person working in an office, this is great for team morale. When someone closes a deal, they ring the gong and everybody claps.

The gong sounds really shallow and tin like. If you need one for only visual appeal it is ok.

At our family Christmas party, my son in law unwrapped this and everyone loved it. He still loves it, my daughter not so much. 😁

I was very nervous about my purchase since it had so many varying reviews, I am happy to report no issues with my purchase. I can see that perhaps due to the way it is wrapped inside the box and taped over the bubble wrap if one isn't careful the string could break, but that would be the purchaser's fault. I basically had to cut it off in many pieces plus the base is encased in Styrofoam so I busted it loose. It also came with a nice red threaded bracelet, I gave it to my son.I placed this on a shelf above the toilet next to a faux potted orchid, and it compliments the entire feel so very nicely. I will post a picture later, but I found it not to be flimsy or "cheap" looking/feeling as others had.I guess it depends on the purpose, I just wanted a small display item that won't be getting touched at all so I have no idea what the gong even sounds like...not why I wanted it. So Yes I would repurchase if I needed to , and would suggest to my friends and family.

Strings were broken and too short.

I'm using it as a dinner bell for the kids and it's hilarious and gets them running from all corners of the house. Great sound.

It's beautiful, it has a nice size and the sound is what I was expecting.
