The media could not be loaded.  I went snorkelling last weekend and really wished I had a device to take underwater photos and video.I took a look at GoPro cameras, but gulped when I saw the price.A quick search through Amazon, turned up this beautiful little alternative at a tiny fraction of the cost.Won't be off swimming again until next week, at the earliest, but felt like posting a review of my initial impressions.Let's get the negative out of the way first:1) Battery life isn't great - I got around an hour's autonomy on a full charge.2) User interface is a bit clunky - pressing combinations of buttons, it's easy to make the wrong selection.3) Instruction leaflet is pretty useless - but a full manual can be downloaded from the website.4) I couldn't get the suggested XDV app to work at all (but see below).Good points:1) Picture quality is pretty good for photos and video (although a slight fish-eye distortion effect is noticeable).2) Comes with loads of accessories to clip onto helmet, handlebars, surf board etc. including the waterproof case (hurrah!).3) Is beautifully compact - you'll hardly know that it's in place.4) The rear LCD screen is great for framing your shots and checking the settings.5) Thanks to another reviewer's recommendation, I downloaded the GoAction app onto my Android phone and it works perfectly to control the camera.6) It's unbelievably inexpensive!Despite the technical limitations, I couldn't award less than 5 stars as, this little wonder device has met my expectations and saved me a fortune on what I thought I may have to pay.Next day delivery through Amazon Prime was much appreciated too.**** Update ****Whilst conditions weren't great today (far too windy and not as warm as last week), I managed to get a little snorkelling in off the south coast and was able to put this action cam's waterproof properties to the test.Please don't expect the Great Barrier Reef - I'm afraid all you're going to see are waves, seaweed, rather silty water and pebbles, but the camera behaved exactly as I expected, with no water ingress.Because the audio recording becomes negligible when the camera is in its waterproof case, I added a snippet of rock music using the MS Video Editor app.With the price now reduced yet again, I've just ordered a second camera, so I'll have a spare battery pack and underwater case!This is a great little product, which is huge fun to use and is priced very reasonably.

The media could not be loaded.  Quite pleased with this, cheap and cheerful camera, no complaints...I've used mine for over 6 months now.It's a decent, cheapo camera used for my daily bike commuting.Totally weatherproof when used in the case.It comes with everything you'll need except for a memory card.Don't expect GoPro quality, as that'll cost you another +£300.Currently priced @ 11 quid you won't cry if you damage or lose this.Raw video quality is OK, Audio quality is poor... There is NO E.I.S...It has a 4K 30fps setting but I find the 2.7K 30fps looks superior.I use SHOTCUT to resize, filter & stabilise any videos I keep.My recommended video settings are 2.7K @ 30fps or 1080p @ 60fps.Maximum size microSD card = 32GB15 minutes of 2.7K video = 3.5GB approxBattery life = approx. 40 minutes

I love my Kitvision Escape HD5W and have had great customer service regarding it too!The Camer itself looks great and comes with some useful accessories.The quality of the pictures and videos you are able to take are A lot better than I had expected and I am pleased with the shots I have managed to get!The waterProof casing of the camera I noticed was smart and looked good however it did crack when Being used A lot. However, it still kept the water out and I was glad it did for the remained of my holiday!I contacted the Kitvision company via their website asking where i could purchase a new case as I didn't want to risk it for too much longer and plan on using the camera a lot more and i was unable to find one and they immediately offered to send one to me free of charge which i received just 24hours later!The customer service was quick and successful and the person i spoke to was pleasant and helpful.I would 100% recommend this product to anyone looking for an action camera! The price is amazing and so is the quality of it overall including the customer service from the Kitvision support team!

Do you want your fun memories to look like a 640x480 webcam circa 2003? Well here's the action cam for you!Bought this for my family (£25) to strap to the dog for funny little videos, expecting cheap and cheerful results...but the image quality is so utterly shocking that you can barely make out what's going on. It looks like upscaled VGA, with absolutely zero detail, everything smeared like a bad watercolour filter, and covered in weird artifacts. If this was advertised as a 720p camera I'd b disappointed, but calling it '4K' is such a bare-faced lie that I might report it to the ASA. The box does say '1080p upscaled' but this isn't mentioned on the Amazon listing anywhere.The Wifi simply doesn't work at all, either with the recommended app or any other reported to be compatible. My phone connects to the camera just fine, but none of the apps can connect.The waterproof housing is decent, and the camera body itself is a bit flimsy but does the job. After a quick 20min test, one of the side buttons has already indented inside the body and is hard to press. But the housing is fine, it's the trash-tier sensor and processing that's the problem.Please, PLEASE spend a tiny bit more or buy a secondhand camera because this isn't worth a fiver.

Lek dicht en werkt ideaal voor het maken van foto's onderwater. Denk wel aan de sd kaart die er nog in moet. De foto's kunnen best veel opslag nemen.

Purchased this item to start stop timelapse recordings via the mobile app.Quality is quite ok, and really good for the price of the unit.However it is not possible to start stop recordings via the app.Also getting out of the settings menu is only possible by switching off the unit.In doubt if I want to return it for a unit of the same brand with more functions or not...

Etanchéité nickel après plusieurs dizaines de minutes sous l'eau. Film et photos de qualité vraiment pas mal pour cette petite résolution. Attention malgré tout à bien sécher les protections étanche pour éviter la rouille. Système de fermeture assez difficile à ouvrir mais au moins pas de fuites!
