More than a fertilizer. Provides soil microbes and also ecto and endo mycorrhizae
I have been growing almost all of our veggies and herbs in our basement for over 6 years and have found that growing indoors provides challenges that are different than outdoor growing, When growing indoors, many of the potting soils that can be bought are sterilized to kill any unwanted insect, bacteria and fungal growths that may be in them. This is great to prevent these problems, but it also kill the microbial flora that is natural in outdoor soil. This microbial bacteria helps the plants to absorb the nutrients in the soil.I have been mixing Dr. Earth into the soil on plants I move to larger pots and plan to add it to established plants. So far, I have been seeing some good results, but I can't say the results are conclusive at this point. I have over 60 years experience in growing plants, and the theory of adding probiotics and mycorrhizae sounds promising when added to sterilized soil. I have added this supplement to a few of my plants and will update this review with results.I hope this review was helpful for you.Ecto and endo mycorrhizae are a fungi that have a symbiotic relationship with plants. The difference between the two fungi is:- Ectomycorrhizae is a fungi-plant symbiotic interaction. The fungusās hyphae create a sheath around the exterior of the plant root and develop between the plant cells to exchange nutrients.- Endo mycorrhizae, on the other hand, refers to a symbiotic interaction between fungi and plants in which the fungusās hyphae penetrate the cells of a plant root to exchange nutrients. What this all boils down to is that the plants supply nutrients for the fungi and the fungi make nutrients more available to the plants and enables the plants to absorb more nutrients.

Good fertilizer
This stuff works great on my plants. However if you have dogs, watch out. Mine go nuts for it and dig up/eat all the dirt I use it on. I have had to devise a plan to keep them out of the area for a while until it stops being so enticing. However my plants have never looked better!

New gardener
I am a new gardener, and have only recently started using this product. However, there does seem to be an improvement in my plants- they have perked up significantly since beginning to use Dr. Earth. I am too inexperienced as a grower to know if this is truly the fertilizer or the weather š.
