Too much slop
This was designed by Curt to specifically fit my B&W Turnover Ball hitch. When I installed it, it went right in and the pin fit correctly. The problem in the design is that it has too much slop (lateral movement) within the receiver itself. This creates a dangerous situation, to say the least. If someone will be towing an 8,000 lb (or more) 5th wheel trailer with this, the fit needs to be tight and strong in order to handle the loads it is designed to take. Movement of any kind, and especially that much movement, degrades the load rating of ANY component when towing. This is not only poor design, but it is actually dangerous. Curt needs to re-visit their specs for this part and make it right. It seems to me they could potentially have a liability issue since they claim 20,000 lb capacity for a part they have to know doesn't fit quite right. I returned mine.

Great Product! Might Need a Little Fabrication.
Great product! Built like a tank! Worked great for my needs...! Just be aware if your bed-liner is like mine (2008 GMC 3500HD Factory Plastic Bed Liner) and is really thick you'll need to do a little fabrication. In my experience my B&W slide through pin was off by 3/4 of a hole. I did not want to cut my plastic bed-liner out so I drilled a new hole and elongated it with metal machining equipment. Be aware that if you don't have access to metal machining equipment, it's probably going to cost you a little more to have it machined. The part that slides down into the B&W turnover ball, on the hitch, is a solid piece of steel.

So far so good
After reading the reviews and info on this product, I decided to give it a try. 2013 F-250 with a B&W turnover ball in the truck pulling a 40 ft 13000 lb toy hauler. A few notes for those looking at this mount. The clearance with a bedliner seems to be hit or miss. My bedliner sits flush with the top of the turnover sleeve and I had no problems with getting the pin to lock into the adapter. The clearance is very exact so make sure you have no debris or rust in the bottom of the sleeve. I use a B&W Patriot 18K hitch and it lined up perfect with the slots in the rails although I needed the weight of my camper in order to get all four pins into the slots in the hitch. Pulled my fifth wheel over 350 miles through various terrain and the mount performed flawlessly. No compaints at all. The mount is very solid, well made and nice finish. It is very heavy though so make sure you have some help getting into the truck.

I have a B&W Gooseneck hitch and didn't want anymore holes in my bed. My Reese 5th wheel hitch fit perfectly in these rails and when it is removed the bed is clear of obstructions (no rails bolted down). Works great in my 2011 2500HD with a 6.5 ft bed. I thought at first that the hitch would be too far forward but the trailer clears the truck just fine. Definitely worth the money. Curt is the only company that makes these that I could find and it is a great product.

This Curt 5th wheel adapter is great. If you already have a "hide-a-ball" gooseneck installed ...
This Curt 5th wheel adapter is great. If you already have a "hide-a-ball" gooseneck installed in your truck, this Curt adapter is a no-brainer. We use it in a 2006 Dodge 2500 with a spray in bedliner. If you have a forklift or cherry picker to pick it up, the adapter and 5th wheel hitch can be removed all together. It's so much better than having 5th wheel rails permanently mounted in the bed of the truck and always getting in the way.

Do your research
Even with all the research I did on this product before purchasing. Model 16310 is made for the square B&W goose neck hitch system, I was unaware of that when ordered this up but lucked out and got the one I needed. Before ordering, realize that if you have a bed like er wether spray in it drop in, modifications are going to be required. For drop in bed liner you will have to cut the liner for it to fit and latch. For spray in liner you will either have to cut the liner or modify the hitch part itself. My spray in bed liner is just under 31/6” think and I ended up elongating the hole for the pin latch. I knew before hand that by doing this voided any warranty. With that said this is a great product towing my fifth wheel toy hauler around and doesn’t move or rattle at all. Well made product.

Wobble Wobble
I purchased this adapter because I already had the B&W Turnoverball and a 5th wheel hitch. After dropping it in I noticed that it did not sit flat on the bed. The adapter seemed to be sitting solely on the pin. It had rotational slop, about the center and rocked back and forth. I thought perhaps the tongue weigth would correct it, but it didn't. There needs to be adjustment for the pin.My truck bed does not have a bed liner, which I thought might have fixed. Tried it in a friend's truck with a spray in bed liner. The fit was better, but still had play. Just doesn't seem safe if those rails aren't sitting flat.

Great design, easy, safe and dependsbke
This saved me 500.00+. I could not be happier. I had a B&W flip ball already installed. This allowed me to keep the goose neck ball and have my Reese 5th wheel as well. I placed the curt plate on the goose neck ball assembly and installed the Reese 5th wheel on the plate. I towed my Bighorn about 20 miles just as a test. This plate is the best thing I could have done. The plate is very strong and is absolutely idiot proof to install. I love this thing I highly recommend this plate. It is a great deal.

Tight fit in some models of ram with spray in bed liner.
Installed this into my 2014 Ram 3500 with B&W gooseneck hitch. Tight fit if you have a spray in bed liner. Works great!
