I don't want to fuss with tying my stopwatch for curling around my waist so I got this to slip onto my pant waist. It's secure and it works as you'd expect. I have been using it for 6 months now and have never had any issues with it slipping off.

The look of this item is beautiful but my 99 cent ones last longer than these do. I figured because it was a stronger cord it would have lasted longer than the cheaper one's but it falls apart at the base where you pull the string. I need this feature for badging in at work and the 2 pack lasted me 6 months. 3 months or so on each. Cheaper ones have lasted me 2 years before.

I use key card access at work a lot and I was getting frustrated with the cheap plastic reels work would provide us. They would always fray and the nylon cord would snap, or the clips would break off, or the whole casing would fall apart.I decided to try this product along with a Clear Acrylic badge holder and I really impressed with the combination. This reel uses a coated metal wire instead of nylon string and has a strong snap button on the loop, so even heavy badge holders or keys should not be too much of an issue for this unit.Reel spring did seem a little too stiff at first, but loosened up after a few uses. If you are accustomed to clipping your id badge reel on the pants pocket, with this product, you might need to move to having it on your belt instead. The reel spring is stronger than most plastic reels so it needs a little more material under the clip to keep it from coming off you when you pull.Very satisfied with the product!

Use it everyday for 2 years already. Very strong and still going!
