Works for Bialetti clones as well
I grew up drinking espresso out of the little Bialetti-style coffee pots. I have a collection of several sizes but the one that gets used the most is the 1-cup.None of mine have been a genuine Bialetti. Most of them were purchased years ago at local mom-n-pop stores that sold whatever oddball brands fell off the boat. They've all worked fine (with the exception of one particularly bad one I got at, of all places, Ikea). One thing they all have in common is that they cook gaskets over time. I used to live near a hardware store that carried replacement gaskets in bulk for about 50 cents apiece, but those days are long gone. Now I have to order online.A set of three gaskets will last me a couple of years with daily use. I'm about due for a replacement now, and I think I still have one gasket left. It's nice to have a few spares laying around for when your percolator starts seeping between the base and top. Even with the oddball collection of clones that I have, original Bialetti gaskets have always fit and worked fine. Same for the filters.Whenever I replace the gasket, I usually lay a piece of sandpaper on a really flat surface and lap the top of the water chamber flat. This gets rid of any nicks that might tear the gasket or cause a leak. I clean the top thoroughly to make sure that there's no coffee grounds or lime scale that might tear a gasket. I also check the brass pressure relief valve in the water chamber and clean it if necessary. Probably overkill but all of that takes a few minutes and I don't need to do it often.I've never found it necessary to change the filter. It always washes clean when I rinse the pot. I do replace it from time to time as a precaution, but I've never had one get plugged with the grind of espresso that I use. Perhaps mineral deposits in an area with very hard water would do it, or a very fine grind of espresso, but I've never had a problem. These pots will make espresso for DECADES if taken care of-- a couple of mine are literally older than I am. The only parts that really wear out are the gaskets. Be aware that if you keep gaskets around for too long, they will dry out and get brittle. I found a couple of long-forgotten gaskets in the back of a cupboard once that broke in my hand when I tried to flex them. However, that's not usually a concern unless you forget about them like I did, and if you have a relatively fresh replacement gasket around, you'll never be without espresso.

Good gaskets
Fits coffee pot just fine. Had to to some reseearch to make sure I got the right size. Can screw top down tight so no leakage.

Gasket for 1-cup Bialetti
As expected. Not 100% sure this is not a returned item: the little box was secured with Scotch tape. But item looks OK .

Wrong size
The item arrived in perfect condition but unfortunately was the wrong size for my coffeepot. This seems to be a common situation with the Bialetti coffeepots as I have read other reviews that make a similar observation. This is an issue with the coffeepot itself not with the vendor. The coffeepots don't have an easy identifier to help one pick the right gasket and one has to measure the volume capacity of the pot (which I did) and then make an educated guess as to which one should work. I finally found a gasket at a local kitchenwares store and the perfect fit is in a gasket that is actually for a coffeepot with a larger volume than the one I have, but it worked. The return process to Amazon was painless, so I am happy with the transaction. Thank you.

Don't waste your money. Gaskets too small for Bialetti, don't form seal
The media could not be loaded. These are NOT legit Bialetti (or they are and Bialetti has gone way downhill). We've been using Bialetti products for many decades and my whole family has one of each of the sizes for each espresso "machinetta." We never had any trouble with replacing gaskets before, but the last bunch of orders of my own via Amazon have resulted in receiving defective and/or outright broken products. Firstly, the packaging is clearly not legit (see photo of the schmutz on the cardboard, inside the sealed product, behind the gaskets and filter). Secondly, gaskets are now always too small. They do NOT form a seal and it's impossible to get a good pot of coffee (you may get a cup and a half out of a 3 cup espresso maker after about 20 minutes of it sputtering without bringing anything but little spurts up—because most of it is coming out the side of the pot, no matter how tight you try to close it. I don't think I can even open mine again after my latest, futile attempt at a tight seal. Thirdly, please see my photos for the gash in the aluminum filter. Yes, it was sent to me that way. This is completely unacceptable for a company that's been around for over 100 years and I highly doubt these are legitimate products we're being sent.

Great As described
These things lasted a long time for me. I have had my 1 cup for 4 years now. I bought a 1 cup Bialetti Moka Express for my cousin and decided since these are hard to find (the 1 cups) that I would buy two of them. I probably use my 1 cup espresso maker (really it is called Moka, you need an espresso maker to truly make espresso) about 4 times a week for 4 years, so that is probably at least 500-800 times I have used this and the gasket could have gone longer, but hey, they are so cheap to buy, I decided to replace it. My only comment is that be sure to get the correct cup size for the replacement filters, you can't use another for another size, just won't happen.
