Magic: The Gathering Rivals of Ixalan Booster Box | 36 Booster Packs (540 Cards)

I was initially concerned by the reviews suggesting the packs may be tampered with. I went through most of the box without getting anything impressive and felt the earlier concerns were justified. Then, in my second to last pack, I pulled a Rekindling Phoenix.I'm happy with the overall value of the box relative to what I paid.

Firstly, the package came perfectly sealed, and was ad advertised with 36 booster packs.I debated buying a booster box for a while. It's simply not an efficient way to acquire ~500 cards, I was assured. Well, I can tell you that the feeling of opening 36 packs is the reason I like magic. It was incredible, and I recommend the experience to anybody who feels that an hour or two rush of excitement (It takes a while to open them all) is well worth $80. It may not be the most cost effective way to acquire ~30 rares and ~5 mythics, but nothing about MTG is cost effective, so just do it.

Pretty cool expansion from the last set (Explorers of Ixalan) building decently on the themes and tribes (predominantly dinos, vamps, pirates, and merfolk... with the odd human or beast here and there), though some of the commons are the same between the two sets (including artwork).On the seller, they got the box to me intact, quickly, and even with a cute Channel Fireball custom thopter token thrown in for free as an unexpected bonus. A+

This is a pretty cool set. My only real complain is that in two boxes of boosters, I would hope to find 3 Planeswalkers. There was only one in each box. So far, in buying booster boxes over the last two years, I'm really only finding rare cases where there are 2 Planewalkers in a box.I'm not fond of the addition of stupid ad cards and now only having really 14 playable cards per pack is a sneaky way to raise the prices.These did provide for a competitive draft tournament though.

Good condition decent cards I just like to get as many sets and cards as possible. No complaints

I got some pretty powerful cards out of it was worth the buy for me and I actually didn't get a lot of repeats

There's literally 36 booster packs in there! That's fricken amazing... and every one of them is a Magic card! So excited to open them, but I probably won't let Jason open any unless he has a tea or 2, cause he cheats!

I usually support my local game store, but couldn't pass this up at the price I got it at! It's a fun series with amazing artwork. Lots of great pulls!

Quel plaisir d'ouvrir ses boosters, les uns après les autres, découvrir les capacités de chaque carte, inventorier les cartes rares et unco avec minutie... Quel bonheur d'imaginer des Decks aux mécaniques variées et pointues, en associant les nouvelles cartes aux anciennes. Ces boîtes de boosters sont en Anglais. J'ai opté pour elles à cause du prix, qui a été un peu plus intéressant à un moment donné, que les boîtes Françaises (vas comprendre...). Le produit est tout à fait conforme à la description, encore scellé dans la cellophane estampillée "Wizards of the Coast". "Rivals of Ixalan" (en Français les "Combattants d'Ixalan") est la seule et unique extension du bloc "Ixalan". Toujours au menu, des dinosaures, des pirates, des vampires et des ondins. J'ai vraiment aimé ce bloc, haut en couleurs, aux mécaniques fluides. Je vous recommande ce produit tant qu'il est disponible, pour compléter (si vous ne l'avez pas encore fait) votre bloc "Ixalan" avec "Les combattants d'Ixalan". Pensez à commander des intercalaires pour entreposer les 540 cartes que vous allez déballer dans un classeur, cela prend de la place et il est hors de question de les laisser prendre la poussière sans une protection ad-hoc !
