The white oven looks smart and clean, simple controls, 2 speed fan which is fantastic , very good oven.

EDITThe cook book that comes with it is very inacurate regarding temperatures it looks as though someone looked up the temperatures did not realise they were in "F" and then converted them to "C". So where it says 145 C it is actually 145 F.The other thing to watch is the bowl has a right and wrong way of putting it in the oven, get it the wrong way and there is no drive for the spit behind the hole.=======================================================================================================This is really a review in two parts the first the actual cooker which is well worth 5* and the rotary action which is not quite as good.The halogen cooker is a vast improvement on others we have had for a number of reasons.1. It has a hinged lid so it stays with the cooker and you don’t have to find somewhere to put the hot lid.2. The bowl is lightweight, not breakable glass and as it sits inside the cooker the outside is relatively cool.3. It has a proper digital timer which actually turns it off.4. It has two speed fan and variable temperature control.The attachments that allow you to use a rotating spit are ingenious but very fiddly to use, we used the spit to roast a 1.8kg chicken (the absolute max size it will take) putting it on the spit was easy enough but you have to try and get it balanced. The next bit putting it in the cooker is not so easy as it is difficult to see the hole to put the end of the spit into.However once done (a couple of potatoes in the bottom of the bowl to test) we turned it on, the spit rotated but the rotation was very uneven and we worried that the chicken would not be evenly cooked however it did cook well as did the potatoes.We now come to the most difficult part, getting the chicken out, they supply a bent wire handle for taking the spit out which was very difficult to use as it does not involve a straight lift as the bar has to be pulled out of the hole and then lifted.We also tried chips in the chip basket which worked well except for again the fiddly nature of using it, however the basket was not that easy to clean and quite flimsy the catch in particular was very small and being very hot you need oven gloves but still quite difficult.IN SUMMARYA very good halogen cooker which will save a lot of energy compared to a normal cooker but although the rotating was good it was very fiddly to use.

Saves a lot of cooking time, my daughter used it almost daily for 2 and a half years when the heater bulb died. Obviously overworked to death. Bulb available at JML online £9.99.Chicken and meat cooked in it is really good, especially with the rotisserie. Low fat chunky chips a favorite.It won't be long before we order our next one, she is bewailing xmas is almost upon us.

I unfortunately received one with a problem with the socket on the back of the oven, it came out when plugged pulled. I was too involved in my own treatment for cancer and my mothers illness to even think of sending it back. I didn't use it that much over the past couple of years, being away from my own home and not being motivated to cook for myself. As by the time I was in the head space to look at replacing it I knew I was well past any time to return it. I was looking on the website of the supplier looking at bank holiday bargains and got into an online chat with one of their staff, I told why I was looking and I knew I was having to swallow the cost of not being able to deal with it at the time. The lady advised I should at least let them know it had happened. I could only find the option to request a return, so I used this to advise I had had an issue, not to claim...…….. a fact I reiterated both to Amazon and JML.I received such abysmal response to this, basically it couldn't happen even though I sent pictures of the issue, the oven had some marks on the back, where my cat slides down from the worktop (the oven sits on a trolley underneath the worktop which I pull out when I want to use it) this was taken to mean I had used the oven extensively, which I have not. Ask any of my friends just how much I actually cook. I have major issues with the supplier as to be practically called a liar when I was only informing them why I was not using it and not trying to get a refund or replacement from them. I have ordered a different oven from another supplier via Amazon.I knew that I would have to write off the JML one (£119) because of time. A large amount on benefit being unable to work.On the odd occasion I did use this it was with great caution because of the lead connection and have to add this is not as good as the earlier models.Moral of the tale, don't even try to give advice to them regarding issues, you may be treated as a liar as I was.

The air-cooler is really good but the chip basket is no good as the door keeps coming open when it turns and contents fall out, it needs a better catch design. Have not used other accessories yet. But only had a month or two and I would buy again.

the cooker cooks great, also meat in the steak rack cooke very well the only problem i have is cooking chips in the airfrying basket it dont cook chips very well i have tried different settings but when they have finished they are not cooked inside if i turn up the tempriture to cook the inside they are burned on the outside

Good for cooking using stand. However the Rotisserie and the basket keep falling off VERY ANNOYING. tried all ways but no joy. So not used for its full potential!!!
