Had a few different phone mounts for my car. Mounts with adhesives (no matter how good, even 3M Extreme) get loose and pull off during hot weather. The phone will stay on the magnet, but the adhesives that holds the magnetic mount won't stay attached to dash, even with alcohol wipes on smooth or textured surfaces. This mount stays firmly attached to dash or window with very strong suction cup. The mount extends and the articulating arm can be maneuvered into almost any position. Got my phone exactly where I want it. I've spent 3 times as much money on other types, some with bendable mount and concepts. This has been by far the best mount and very affordably priced mount I've had yet.

There are key features that I love:1.The extensible arm allows me to place the phone such that the sun does not shine onto/glare off the screen.It can stick on the windshield and still works good.2. The 2.75 inch (in diameter) suction base allows me to move it between vehicles.Latter's base has some sticky substance,so, ensure surface is clean so that dirt doesn't cause the stickiness to lose it's adhesiveness.It's also rigid enough so that the vibrations from the dashboard do not shake the phone too much.The suction base works best on smooth surfaces, not so much on dimpled surfaces.I was able to place on a smooth surface that was inclined at about 80 degrees.3. The magnetic pad is strong and the pivot works very well.The two metal pieces allows me to place on my spouse's and my phone.The metal piece for the phone is black in color,while the cover for the underside of the metal piece is white.Latter works great for my white phone, as I don't peel off the white cover but place it inside the phone case.Likewise, the black metal matches my wife's black phone.

I received this timely and it works exactly like how I had imagined.This mount is designed to attach to the windshield or up on the dash but just as I though it might,it fits on the shelf below.I wanted it for my phone mainly to use my phone GPS (Google Maps) for my navigation device rather than the piece of crap that Toyota calls a navigation system.It works perfectly and without all of the wires running all over the place.I can plug my phone in right on the shelf just as I do now and keep it charging on the longest of trips.Another advantage that I had not even considered is that I can attach my portable Garmin GPS to the same mount if I choose."

We've used this mount for one month. It is maintaining the position we placed it in. The truck has been hella hot this summer and this mount is still in place.Magnet mounts are generally superior in day-to-day use than any clamp style mount and this Wisdomspot is no exception. It grabs the phone easily and does not sag or wobble.Family is not 'easy' on gear so I am surprised actually. If it continues to hold in the winter - well - wow! A good product indeed.

Works pretty well through my phone case, it took me a while to figure out that the small metal piece with the sticky tape was already attached to the mount.It came with the small circle plate and a larger rectangle plate (for bigger phones or tablets) but did not include and sticky tape to use with it.Update: the tensioner that keeps the phone from moving on the 360 degree mount broke. Didn't even get 6 months out of it. Also when I went to remove it the suction cup had some kind of awful goo under it presumably to help it stick but was very unnecessary because after using alcohol and goo gone and brute force it's still there.

I have bought various incarnations of cell phone holders. I have galaxy note 8. This works perfectly and stays in place. Better yet, phone stays in place. Added a large magnet that can be ordered here and a mounting disc for the dashboard. Holder is fully adjustable. The days of ordering various holders are over. This one works perfectly.

Terrible design. Do not ever get a magnet holder, because they are just not strong enough for a phone. Mine keeps following off unless you get it in just the right spot. Worst of all, I had it placed on my dashboard, right at the edge. The sun has melted the sticky so it's covered my dashboard as a melted glaze. The sun has even warped the pastic of the platform so it doesn't lie flat. Don't make the same mistake as me. Just get the clamp version.

Love this. Works great, sticks easy and the suction cup is strong. The magnet holds well while stopping and bumps *if the case is thin or the metal is on the outside. It'll stay well otherwise but the durability improves drastically if metal is touching the magnet. The extendable arm is perfect for lower phone placement or large dashes like my own. 14 Chevy equinox. Would recommend!
