Bought 3 of these for my dad for father's day after getting one as an EMS week present. He's a landscaper/snow plower and I got him one for each of his trucks. He loves them for working on trucks as he does a lot of his own maintenance and fixes. They're very bright and being magnetic and telescoping he loves that he can bend them around pieces of his trucks and just stick them there instead of holding it. They take the little batteries you can get at drug stores. Will definitely buy him more when these go.

i sent back for exchange the one i received did not work no battery inside bottom cap bent lens scratched up flashlight looks like it would be sturdy but this one looks like it was returned then sent to me sent back for exchange we will see what next one --- received replacement today this one works great no scratches on lens batteries in seems like a good little light

This does everything my old one did, but it is not the same size. I should have paid more attention to the description because this one is smaller.

The telescoping part tends to come apart easily because you have to pull it so hard to open and close it. Because of the way this model is crimped to the base, once it breaks, you cannot fix it. There is an O-ring that is supposed to seal the battery compartment, but something wrong in the design causes it to expand into the threads or something because no matter how loosely you tighten it when installing the battery, it will seize up after a short while and you will have to use pliers to open it again. Because of the cheap material and poor surface finish, this leads to gouges in the metal (very little space in this area to grip anything with a pad or towel for protection). Finally, the battery kept getting out of alignment with the contacts or something, because the light keeps going very dim. You have to whack it to jostle the connection, which doesn't always work, but then when you turn it off and turn it on again, it'll be dim again. Overall, it's just a bad design. Would recommend avoiding this one.

One item OK, other item damaged

It's a wonderful gift for just about anyone mostly male but some girls like it. It is made out of durable material It's not a toy It's well worth the money I paid for it. I would have probably paid twice that price,.....oh yes I did. Haha.My son loves it. Looks like a few other people liked it as well. I had to reorder it, because someone took everything but, flashlight and the next time they took everything in the envelope. It was worth it when I got 1 the day before Christmas. The company was very helpful, but I had to order one to get it before Christmas and have not got my refund. Great gift for almost any age for most special days.

It came with no instructions and did not turn on when either one was received. I bought 1 as a gift and 1 for myself. I was about to return it when my son figured out that it had a paper inside that prevented it from working. A little communication would have saved a lot of trouble
