The Shift: Taking Your Life from Ambition to Meaning

awakenings
I have just received my copy through the post and watched it immediately. Having undergone my own shift it's wonderful to have confirmation I am on the right path. I have found the Universe has a way of showing me the answer of the lesson I have just completed, may be so I can compare but definitely so I can be assured the lesson I have learned is valuable and has meaning and I've learned well. I loved this movie, i liked how it shows people often laugh and think people with these thoughts are a bit wacko but how when they learn to listen, they can be helped so much. My book (FACE2FAITH~ also available on Amazon) is also trying to show people that life's purpose is to follow your dreams, to learn to listen to your soul and give it importance. I tried hard to get my message out and just before my movie arrived I learned to let go, to let go and trust and so I have been aiming to simply try to help and serve. Now the wonderful message of the film is exactly that, follow your passion and use it to serve humanity.I really recommend this movie, we are all beginning to awaken and will have heaven on earth when we do.Blessings

Thought provoking
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although I have to admit to having to read it twice and watch the movie to see the full message. Everything makes sense and it put my own life experiences into perspective. I realized that my natural sense to give rather than take is part of my programming. The more ‘positive actions’ you do without expecting anything in return, the more ‘positive things’ are attracted to you. Givers Gain! What did I take from the book?It is okay to have ambition, but it is now ambition with meaning. If we want to see doors open we need to detach from working from our Ego and work from our authentic self which is way beyond Ego. This means having reverence for all people and show respect, be sincere and honest, treat people with gentleness and kindness, and be there to be of service to others through supportiveness.

Unexpected Find
A friend told me about The Astral City and in searching for that, came across The Shift. As I don't currently own a multi region DVD player, did not order The Astral City, and ordered this instead. It is filmed as though Dr Dyer was being interviewed for a documentary about "the shift", (and although he is), there is a clever juxtapose of storylines of people going through "the shift", illustrating what happens and making this very enjoyable, enlightening viewing. The lip sync went out a few times but not sure if this was down to DVD quality or my player, but worth mentioning in case other viewers experience this.I am looking forward to getting more of Dr Dyers DVD's.

Wow, Best DVD that I have ever bought.
Wayne Dyer is absolutely amazing. I have been listing to self-help for a few years now but this is by far the best dvd that I own in my collection. I loved it so much that I bought the audio version as well. (in a lecture format)I keep watching nearly every week and it has made a huge difference in the way I perceive my experiences thus improving my quality of life.Trust me if you watch this you will feel the shift happening. It just makes you more calm in the way you deal with things in life. I believe that you will see certain unnecessary worries just disappear and start enjoying your life more and you are more likely to find your purpose in life.Wayne Dyer is an amazing teacher.. I am glad I stumbled across his material. :-)

Brilliant and Inspiring
I am a huge Wayne Dyer fan. I have read and have almost all of his books. His book "Manifest Your Destiny" changed my life forever and it is now the way I live my life AND IT WORKS. I just recently heard about this movie "The Shift" and knew I would have to watch it. I ordered it yesterday, it came this morning and I have just finished watching it. It is brilliant, inspiring and and actually makes me feel at peace within myself. For those of you that understand that there is more to life than the ego you really should watch this movie. I hope it moves you as it did me. God Bless.

A little corny
Wow, 21 out of 25 reviews are five star for this DVD. I must admit I was a little disappointed by it. Dr Dyer himself does come across as being a genuinely kind, thoughtful man and a peaceful person to be around. In this production he tells us to move away from our egos yet his best selling books and other successes are mentioned several times in this film, a slight contradiction. He believes that we all come from a "source" ie God and that we need to trust that the right things will happen to us at the right time. We need to stop striving all the time. The film itself is enjoyable to watch but the scenarios are so corny and cliched. We are supposed to believe that people have these huge epiphanies and their personalities change in an instant, ie they experience a "shift". Rich, ruthless city guy changes to gentle, giving husband in an afternoon after an encounter with a homleless man. The whole thing is so scripted with the supposed "crew" giving Dr Dyer meaningful looks every time he says something profound. In one of these scenes Dr Dyer tells of a miracle that happened to him when he was helping a man with Cerebral Palsy. Dr Dyer had a vision of St Francis and his bad knee was healed. What I want to know is why didn't the man suffering from Cerebral palsy receive a miracle, surely he needed it more. Why aren't children suffering from Cancer healed? I enjoyed Portia De Rossi's performance and I enjoyed the story involving the janitor/owner of the retreat, his character embodied the whole theme of the film. I think that Dr Dyer's message is a valuable one but this film left me unsure of what changes I was actually supposed to be making. .

spiritual book
Needs certain level of spirituality to comprehend. Deeply delves into giving up Ego. But in practical life, unlike the author, most of us are struggling to make ends meet and survive a nasty workplace or demanding family. A saintly giving up attitude like he recommends might not be successful in worldly life. Great book for those looking for spiritual uplift, ent

Game changing.
This is not a book. It is a map to live life in a meaningful way.I have always thought that the ultimate gift was to be able to inspire others, helping them to better themselves. Wayne W. Dyer continues inspiring people years after his passing. Not for the faint of heart. The Shift challenges the way we live, and won't leave you disappointed.

Möge jeder das finden, was ihn gerade an spricht. Damit das alte-Gute weiter leben kann und Heil geschied, Ganzwerdung. "Etwas das größer ist als du Selbst!" Jonas würde im alten persischen und christlichen Märchen "gefressen" werden, bildlich. Also keine halben Sachen Jungs und Mädels.

I would recommend seeing the film first and then you understand more the book. The shift for me was definately a life changing movie and this book is the perfect accompaniment.
