Instituto Español Urea Foot Cream, Elbows and Hands - 150 ml

So I’ve been using this product for 2 months now and I am absolutely amazed by the results! I’ve been using it on some thickened skin that had formed on the (top) joints of my two big toes due to poor-fitting footwear. I had tried many creams and oils to soften the skin but the results were minimal. I even resorted to skin-lightening creams at one point as the skin on my joints had become very dark from all the friction. This product is incredible and has dramatically improved and basically cured my skin issues. I apply this cream 3-4 times a week as I don’t think you need to apply it daily due to its exfoliating properties. I’ve tried a 40% urea cream on my thickened skin before and it didn’t work even HALF AS GOOD as this 20% cream! How I apply: - Joints After showering, I apply a thin layer and rub it in. After it’s been rubbed in, I apply a second (thicker) layer, rub it in slightly but not completely and I allow it to sit on my skin and absorb on its own. It absorbs fairly quick so you won’t be sat around for hours. - Heels A thin(ish) layer is needed. Just rub a pea-sized amount into your heels before bed and give it about 2-3 days to see and feel the results. Sometimes it may feel chalky but this is due to its high urea content. - Hands I usually apply this before bed (3-4 times a week). It’s amazing for dry, crusty cuticles and is magical on your nails. It exfoliates dead skin around your nails and and leaves your nails looking shiny and healthy. My hands are now super soft and look amazing. - Body I don’t apply this to my body every day. I apply this to my entire body 2-3 times a week but obviously feel free to apply it more frequently depending on your skin. I always apply this right after my shower whilst my skin is still wet / damp and allow it to soak in and air dry. Again, it doesn’t take long and you’re left with beautifully soft, moisturised skin. I can’t praise this cream enough! Remember: the chalky, drying feel doesn’t mean your skin is drying out. It’s just the urea doing it’s work. There have been times where I have applied this cream to an extra dry area (elbows), and the dead skin has flaked and peeled after 10 minutes. I just rub the area in a circular motion until the flaky skin has come off and I’m left with softer skin. I can’t wait to repurchase this again!

I got this cream for my mum as she had been using a pharmaceutical one for years that has now gone off the market. We have identified that urea is the active ingredient that is doing immensely good to her cracked hands as she has been on steroids for years and her skin has thinned a lot. She also struggles with very dry and cracked hands - symptoms that are looking somewhat like psoriasis but have been labelled "atopic dermatitis" by the dermatologists. She is now swearing by this cream and cannot stop complementing on how well her hands look. She is adamant that this is a much better cream than the one she had been using. Honestly, if you have similar issues with your hands, give it a try. The price is also very good for the amount of product you get so you should just go for it!!

I really struggle with dry skin on my hands due to frequent washing (due to my job) and applying alcohol hand gel. My cuticles are always a mess leading to me picking at them. I had also noticed the back of my hands were looking a little ‘old’. I read online that Urea is a wonder ingredient for those who suffer from dry skin so I ordered this cream to cry. It’s quite a large tube - for some reason I was expecting it to be smaller. Not ideal for popping in a handbag so I have decided I will apply this at nighttime before bed instead and use my usual hand cream during the day. It has a pleasant fragrance - not overpowering. You don’t need to apply much cream - if you apply too much it can make my hands feel weirdly dry. There is no greasiness to the cream although it is thick. I rub this right into my cuticles and I must say it has been very effective! No bits of dry skin for me to pick at! The back of my hands feel soft and smooth. So glad to have finally found an excellent hand cream. Would love a more travel friendly size though.

Really helps keep my feet in good condition. Only thing I hate is the feeling on my hands after applying (weird gritty texture) but that’s the urea doing its thing. I just make sure to wash it off my hands after applying…I’m a weirdo obviously!

It works with not so very dry hands. My husband got on ok with it but I had very dry hands because of the hard water and this cream left me a powdery texture after it dried…

I tend to have dry hands on my right hand especially, due to the constant washing of hands my job requires. I got this to try to combat that and it works!. My skin is soft and supple after use and it is easily absorbed into the skin. I really do recommend it for anyone who struggles. It also doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy. It has a mild medicinal smell which I don't mind at all. I'm thinking of using it for my feet seeing how well it's worked on my hands.

crème très efficace contre les problèmes de sécheresse de la peau et tres bon rapport qualité prix. l'urée est un ingrédient très efficace pour hydrater et assouplir la peau. dans cette creme, la concentration est assez forte pour un prix très très contenu par rapport à la concurrence. je n'arrête pas d'en racheter. je recommande!

I have bunions, hard skin around toe, applied it overnight and after warm soak and it works wonder, softens feet. I highly recomend it if you are facing hard skin/ cracks issue!
