Good quality, high speed dual disk hard drive dock.
Had a USB 3.0 hard drive dock by Startech, but while it was advertised as dual drives, it was actually just one and a bay for a second with an IDE adaptor which was a bit of a con.Recently upgraded to newest Macbook Pro and was surprised to see that there was actually a USB 3.1 dock available.Have bought Inateck gear before so knew the quality to expect and wasn't disappointed.Works perfectly, very high speed data transfer, genuinely supports 2 SATA disks and has a button for disk to disk cloning in the caddie which is great. Very compact, informative indicator lights and looks well built, really pleased with purchase, would highly recommend.

Something is Missing!
The Inateck Cloning Unit arrived quickly but I am disappointed that only a C to C micro usb lead was supplied. Quite how I connect this to my computer without a converter lead/plug I'm blessed if I know!My low ranking for this unit is due to not being able to use it "out of the box".If I had been made aware of this omission/missing lead I would have purchased one and given a more in depth review.

Great SSD
I bought this to place in an external docking station, which was easier for me than internally mounting any more drives inside my PC case. I've downloaded and played some recent titles like Jedi: Fallen Order. The loading times are as short as if the SSD was internally mounted so this is ideal for me. The next challenge will be to see how Cyberpunk 2077 - which is going to be transferring a lot of data to the CPU and GPU - performs.Samsung is a byword for quality products and this one is no different.

Worked well for 2 years but seems to be finished now
Inateck USB C 3.1gen1 to SATA Dual-Bay Hard Drive Type C Docking Station 2 drivesIt has been great for the 2 years that I've had it, easy to use, fast enough and problem free. Yesterday it disconnected once so I switched it off and an on again, then a bit later it disconnected again while copying files from one drive to another and now it turns on but the hard drive/s are not seen by my computer.I think I paid £30 for it so I got my money's worth I suppose over the 2 years but longer would have been better. I have a single drive docking station from Inateck that is still going after 7 or 8 years.

It does what is intended to do
Another purchase from Inateck and I'm still impressed. Reliable product, suit all my needs, very good clone speed. I recommend it.

Works fine, but will not work with USB-C to Thunderbolt adapters
Works fine with USB 2/3 cables but will not work with Thunderbolt adapters, not sure why. Have tried a few different ones none work with it.

Fast & Easy to use
I was going to give this Inateck Type C SATA Hard Drive Docking Station, a very low score, because when I first started using it, the 3.5" HDD took ages to show the disk contents in Windows explorer and then continually froze up. However, because I couldn’t use the supplied USB C-C cable, I was using a USB A -C connecting cable from a reputable Action camera which was USB 2.0 and possibly low bandwidth. I then swapped it for another USB A to C, but this one was USB 3.0. It then loaded up and handled data very quickly indeed. If I could have used the supplied USB C-C cable then I expect everything would have been OK from the start.I have knocked off one star because I find the exposed 3.5" HDD's somewhat noisy.29-01-2020
