OUR HISTORY: Athletic Club de Bilbao were founded in 1898, becoming one of the pioneers of this sport in Spain, following the British tradition. Besides, they are one of the few teams that have played all the seasons in First Division. Years later, in 1913, the team settled definitively in San Mamés, in ‘The Cathedral’. With a particular philosophy, the Club remains loyal to their core principle: to play with footballers born in Euskadi or trained in clubs of this territory.
