hard snaps but great design
I'm giving these to my 5 and 3 year old granddaughters, so they haven't been in use yet. After checking them over from delivery, I was a little apprehensive about the snaps that held the side bags in place. They were hard to unsnap and I was afraid I was going to rip the plastic they were attached to. I would suggest an adult unsnapping them, and then leaving them alone. Other than that, it looks like a great design and a good idea.

Great buy, great price.
This product is sturdy yet lite enough for my 3 year old Grandson to carry. It helps keep him busy without zoning out on a movie. He plays with his cars and toys on this. Love it!

Kudos to ThisTravel Tray
I bought two travel trays to give my grandsons. I haven't had the opportunity to present them yet, but I was impressed with the construction of the trays. They are made with a firm foam tray covered in woven nylon cloth. It appears that they will last as long as the boys remain interested in using them, which I think could be about 8 years, until the younger one turns 10 or 11. Who knows, as long as they both want to write and draw and play hand-held games, they might use these as laps trays until they are about 12. I'm thinking of adding a magnetic sheet on top of the foam, the kind that is thin enough to roll up. There are several magnetic games and puzzles that could be used in the car if I were to add this feature. I specifically looked for a tray that was at least 12" x 15" so that it would be large enough for drawing and games. This tray had it all--size, durability, and ease of use.

I liked that it has a lip around the tray so ...
I liked that it has a lip around the tray so things won't slip off of it. However, the side mesh pockets could use a zipper to help hold in items so you don't have to take them out every time you close it up. My son thinks it's great to have a table to do his art on where ever he goes.

Good for car travel
We've used this for a long car trip with our 4 year old son. The tray is set up to loop around the car seat or child for use. We opted not to wrap it around the car seat because then we would have a hard time moving it during the trip. We set it up so our son could put it around his waist - he didn't like it. He did like it and use it without the strap attached to him. He used it to put food on when we had lunch in the car. He played some activities on his tray and rested his tablet on it for a movie. It worked really well for the trip. I don't know that I'd take it when we fly - it's not compact. I'm glad we went with this for my son.

I don’t write reviews on anything I buy from Amazon, but I need to for these trays. My family and I just got back from a 2700 mile road trip and we bought these for my two youngest kids (3 and 4 years old). They were a godsend. The kids were able to draw, play and eat (yes, EAT!) with no mess or hassle. Please note, if you sit three kids across in the back seat, with car seats on either side, the middle child might have less room. We have third row seating, so we didn’t have a problem. They are light, durable and easy to install. Best investment for the trip and we will be using them for any length of trip. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE.

It looks like the seam was never sewn properly
I’m leaving for my trip tomorrow. Upon opening the back side of the travel tray, where the pockets unsnap, the seam was ripped. It looks like the seam was never sewn properly. A simple factory mistake. We bought two of these trays at $25.00 a piece. I was hoping for better quality. Something that would last. I’m going to contact the company and see if they will replace the snap on pocket that’s broke. I will update after speaking with them.

Perfect car seat lunch tray!
I think this is a great product. My son is only one year, but we spend a ton of time in the car & this allows him to eat in his car seat, which is incredibly convenient considering we can be miles from a table during lunch time (we hike a lot!). I don’t know how great it would be for drawing etc. as the top is firm but still has fabric across it, so I would think a pencil could snag. However, for our use, it’s exactly what we wanted!
