UPDATE: I've had this lock for over 4 years now and it's been ultra-reliable and used in all kinds of weather. I love that the opening mechanism is operated by a sliding lever: it makes it virtually undecodable. As others have mentioned, it is big, brash and heavy ... exactly what you want in a lock. If it were lighter, it would be made much weaker. Weight is the price you pay for strength; I don't think there's any way around that.The questions you want to ask yourself are (i) is it secure? (ii) is it well-made? and (iii) is it reliable? I've found that the answer to all three questions is a resounding "YES"I strongly recommend this lock to protect your mid-priced to expensive bike despite the weight penalty.Original review: This is a brilliant lock. It's a bit too heavy to carry on the supplied bracket, so I have it strapped to my rear carrier. The combination is very easy to set. Just make sure that it's something you'll remember easily. I use the year I married the love of my life. And Mrs Sunshine will never let me forget THAT! And being such a bright colour, it lets the bad guys know not to bother.

Seems to be a solid lock. My previous cycle lock had a key and the lock kept getting jammed so it's nice to have a combo lock. Wouldn't leave my bike anywhere dodgy though as thieves are tooled up to get through these sort of locks. Has a 66% security rating. Will always leave my bike in a well populated area (eg outside an outdoor cafe with people sitting outside) had my previous bike stolen (combo lock with cable) so hopefully this D lock will work better.

The lock itself is fine. However, because of the awkward way the lock holder was designed, I cannot fix the lock to my bike whilst cycling, as the bike frame is to small (although it is a big bike. I am 1.75m talk). I alway need to carry a big enough bag to put the lock in whilst cycling.

So far so good, combination lock is great, no need to carry a key around

Thieves had to cut through the Sheffield stand as they couldn't get through the lock. Didn't manage to get out of the building unnoticed but this lock held them up!

Very durable and strong, sometimes the locking mechanism will seize up hence the loss of one star, but apart from that, excellent quality. A sound investment for your bicycle.

Poor quality product. The button to open the lock jammed after 4 weeks use. Completely inoperable. Have had to bin due to just missing the 4 week return window. I have a second one which has started to do the same thing.

Tiene un buen tamaño para asegurar el cuadro y una llanta sin problema, portabilidad en el cuadro de tu bici. Lo recomiendo

Wenn man sich so ein Bügelschloss kauft, will man ja vor allem Massivität. Und davon gibt es genug. Das Schloss liegt gut in der Hand, die Gummierung ist an den richtigen Stellen und die Zahlen lassen sich gut einstellen. Zusätzlich sichert ein Schiebeschalter den Öffnen-Mechanismus. Damit wird es sehr mühsam, durch Ausprobieren auf den Code zu kommen (neben der geringen statistischen Wahrscheinlichkeit).Wir nutzen das Schloss in Tanzania, um unser Haus abzuschließen. Für das Fahrrad wäre es mir wahrscheinlich zu schwer.+ massiv und stabil+ Zahlen gut lesbar+ Schiebeschalter zum öffnen (geht nicht direkt auf beim richtigen Code)+ sehr haltbar+ sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis- schwer (klar)Fazit: Kaufempfehlung für stationäre Nutzung

rapport qualité très convenable !!! à tenu longtemps avant que j'oublie le code ! j'ai dût mis prendre au moins à 4 fois avant de réussir à le casser ! donc le seul moyen de le casser c'est avec une disqueuse électrique !!! donc l'article est très solide ! faut juste trouver une solution quand le propriétaire oublie le code...

questo è il terzo Onguard che compro. Come sempre la spedizione e la consegna sono avvenute nei tempi indicati, il prodotto è arrivato integro (difficile il contrario per un oggetto del genere) e con gli accessori indicati. Molto intuitivo cambiare il codice e molto pratico da utilizzare con una e più bici. Consigliato!
